Do NOT stay in this unit! When we first arrived they put us in different unit and all of the furniture had some kind of pet hair on it. Then they put us into this unit (which they gave us a hard time about). And when we got into this new unit it was obviously dirty and all of the surfaces were sticky to the touch. I’d say the worst part was that were problems with the hot water. There were 4 of us (1 of them being a 6 month old). There would only be enough hot water for one person to take a semi hot shower and then there would be no more hot water all day. Not to mention the showers took 15-20 minutes to drain because the drains were clogged. Also the toilets had to flushed multiple times because there was barely any water pressure going to the toilets all throughout the unit. My other family members got another unit on the opposite side of the property and that unit was BEAUTIFUL!! I’m pretty sure it was unit 151, it was amazing inside and out! Stay in THAT unit if you stay here!! That beautiful Unit was $600 for 3 NIGHTS and our crappy unit was $900 for 3 nights. It wouldn’t have been as terrible if our unit was cheaper, but the fact that ours was in this condition and cost more is what really rubbed the salt in the wound.

2 bedroom, 2 bath, #137, awesome accommodation in paradise!! All the comforts of home, in the middle of nature. The beaches were virtually empty, listening to the waves crashing on the beach, what an awesome sight. James was quick to respond to any questions or requests. An easy drive to the airport and to the towns of Maunaloa and Kaunakakai.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a condo timeshare on Molokai. I know these things can run the gambit from amazing to abysmal. The most recent reviews were AT LEAST a year old. This place is amazing! We met resident owners at the pool who touted the resort as the best on the island. I took all that with a grain of salt, but when the LOCALS echo the same opinions, and then you see the other locations, Ke Nani Kai is a true winner! Its a 45 minute drive (at 45 mph or less) to almost everything, but the pool, hot tub, and beaches are nothing short of amazing. It is not air conditioned, but not many places there are, so come prepared with plenty of ideas for keeping cool, but when we checked in they had a dozen fans blowing and making every effort to have the room comfortable when we arrived. We loved being greeted on the lanai every morning by the resident turkeys, peacocks, cardinals and mina birds. The best part of the trip? Before we arrived, the management called to make sure we had a car rental arranged and to alert us to the fact we needed to buy groceries near the airport because everything would be closed if we drove out to the resort first and we would be stuck without food or snacks for more than a day. WHO DOES THAT??

Ke Nani Kai Resort in the west end of Moloka'i. Not a 5 luxury resort, but a very solid, recommended experience. 2 bdrm 2 bath plus Murphy bed, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, private lanai (turkeys included) and supply of beach paraphernalia (chairs, totes, towels, cooler). Great management, pool, jacuzzi, easy walk to the deserted beach (spectacular sunsets nightly). Peace and quiet, solitude and trade winds. I would definitely come back. The only thing that would make it better would be AC, but they provide plenty of fans, just keep the windows and door open and let the trade winds blow through. Recommendations: you definitely need a rental car, and get your groceries in town before you check-in. Everything shuts down at 5:30p. If you're looking for nightlife, entertainment and excitement, this is NOT the island for you. If you want to unplug, recharge and just 'be', then pack minimally and come find yourself on Moloka'i at Ke Nani Kai. Overall experience = perfect. We will be back.

We exchanged for two weeks for a 1 bdrm 1 bath sleeps 4. You will need a car. It is 20 minutes from the airport, 30 min to the main town Kaunakakai based on 45 mph-the fastest you can travel on Molokai. There are 120 units, and 7 are timeshare exchanges.Yes, the units are older, but the one we were in was in good condition-a few lightbulbs out but all in all fine. Beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, and beach bag/grocery bags provided. Plenty of pots and pans, bowls etc. Really appreciate the washer & dryer in the unit. You can check out rice cookers, crock pots etc, too. I believe there are stairs to both the downstairs and upstairs units for all 120. Our unit did not have an ocean view, unfortunately, but it's a short walk or drive to the next resort that is on the beach. The pool and spa is VERY nice.Well maintained and large. Library, tennis courts, lanai, and BBQ areas round out the amenities. No scheduled activities except a yoga class in the AM a couple times a week.THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING, but the fans and windows help.Hawaiian-style furniture in this unit could be more comfortable, couch hard to lie on. Bed isn't bad, a bit too firm for my husband. Not sure of furnishings in others. Looked at Kepuhi Beach Resort and Paniolo Hale and Ke Nani Kai's grounds and pool are far superior. Just wish there was an ocean view. Maunaloa General Store is much closer and even found cheaper items there. Would not hesitate to recommend and will most likely return.
