Ke Hale Kealoha A215 was great, and Chaya and Tom are wonderful hosts! They have a beautiful condo with everything we needed and more. It is worth spending the first hour just opening every cupboard and reading through the binder of information. There is a TV, laptop, wifi, binoculars, boogie boards, beach mats, beach chairs, hair dryer, books (great Cussler...

Molokai supposedly has only 400 rooms, so there is not much competition. Nor does the island promote tourism. Expectations should be tempered. There is some good. The grounds are maintained and the bed was comfortable and the location and wifi were good. But our unit - 131- was sorely lacking. There were bugs everywhere. The toilet was not fastened to...

I was excited to stay at this place from the pictures on the internet I saw. But it was nothing like what I saw online. It was dingy and gross all throughout. There were hair and dust all over the house, carpet had stains everywhere, toilet seat had stains, inside the toilet wasn't cleaned well, refrigerator was so gross it...

Was surprised there was no AC in the unit, toilet ran over half the time it was flushed and we had to take the lid off and jiggle the mechanism. Only 2 of 5 vanity lights worked. Unit had basics but nothing special. Be prepared to hear roosters crowing and with windows having to be opened because of the lack...

Great location, on the shore near the main town of Molokai. Apartment was fine, no frills but had everything we needed. Only problem was that when we arrived the fold out bed hadn't been prepared, so it had used sheets. Being late we couldn't contact housekeeping till the next day, when they sorted it out. No A/C but with fans...

We stayed 3 nights at the Castle Molokai Shores. We got this place as part of a package and unfortunately, I didn't review Trip Advisor before we went, as I usually do. The best part of our top floor unit was the view...the grounds are very well kept and the view from the lanai is of the ocean, palm trees,...

Check-in was easy, all the arrangements were made with the property manager (Molokai Realty: molokai.realty@yahoo.com, 808-553-4444) prior to arrival. Our 7:45pm flight was delayed, and at 10pm, we opened the lock-box with keys to our clean, beautiful and comfortable condo (A207) with water and snacks! (and Wi-Fi!) Our family enjoys the outdoors and it was perfect. We swam, snorkeled, fished,...

We've been visiting Molokai for 25+ years, and have seen the economy and infrastructure suffer during hard times. This was our first stay at Molokai Shores. The condos are individually owned. Many are owner-occupied. The grounds are beautifully kept and the ocean at your back door is so relaxing. There are many birds, including the "Peep Patrol," a hen with...

This condo is located in an ideal location for exploring the whole island. It is near markets and restaurants. Options are limited on Molokai. It is not the nicest place, but I would stay here again. Great view, but not a nice beach for swimming.

Reviews of units in Molokai Shores vary from excellent through good, poor bad, to ugly. Perhaps this information will help future visitors. First of all, the Molokai Shores is a condominium that is ruled (if that is the correct word) by a homeowners association. It is their responsibility to keep the exterior of the buildings, the grounds and facilities in...
