My friends and I recently stayed there for 5 nights and I have to say this was an awesome place. First off, amazingly friendly staff. We were playing our trip by ear kind of doing whatever, and they recommended some great places to go to enjoy Maui, and even got us a discount on a snorkel trip one morning. The... More

My family of four (2 teens) decided last minute that we didn't want to camp and get up at 4 to pack up for our flight out of Kahului, so we lucked out and got lodging here. The manager is very informative and efficient. You immediately can tell that he's thought of every aspect of running the hostel, and anticipates... More

My flight got delayed and instead of landing in Maui at 9:30pm, I landed at 3 a.m., but the hotel staff was very accomodating and nice enough to leave me a note with instructions. Nice, and clean place. Plenty of parking. All the guests seems really nice too.

The hostel was a nice simple place to stay during my whirl wind trip of Maui. Scott and Garrett did a great job keeping the place neat and tidy. The place was very clean, there was a good kichen to cook in and a nice lounge to sit and chat with people and watch tv. They had internet and a... More

Northshore was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in, and I, myself, am a hostel manager. It was an excellent homebase for my travels around Maui. The people I met there were great and the staff is amazing and very accommodating. They keep the place cleaner than any other hostel I've stayed in (the bathrooms especially!! :))) and... More

Very clean, quiet, relaxing, and friendly/helpful staff, I really liked this hostel. It is not a party hostel but people are particularly nice and people cook, watch a movie, eat tapas in the evening. They have free pancakes, plenty of parking, secure storage, a balcony. I have never slept so well in an hostel!
