The views from 202 & seeing sea turtles up close on the beach were highlights of this trip to Maui. The weather was unusually hot and humid, with no trade winds, which made this business trip that required much outdoor walking challenging and physically demanding. Thankful for Makani Sands as a little oasis of relaxation and enjoyment. The decor was...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week. It's in a great location. Close to everything and a little farmers and coffee shop within walking distance. We had unit 208 which had an updated kitchen but not updated bathroom. Which means the bathroom is quite dated. Each unit is privately owned so you can't really go by the pictures....

We stayed at Makani Sands #309 for 8 nights. We were a group of 8 (max occupancy), but it did not feel crowded. Our kids chose to sleep on the floor (carpeted--kind of rare in a tropical location, but welcome), so we did not utilize the pullout sofa. Had we done so, there would have been enough beds for all....

We stayed at Makani Sands for two weeks in March. Located in Honokawai, Makani Sands is a small condo with around 30 units. All the units are owned and it is not part of a timeshare. The units are spacious, clean and all oceanfront. Each unit has washer, dryer, dishwashers which are great. As it is an older building, it...

Our return visit to Unit 106 at Makani Sands was excellent. Many perks: AMAZING view, relaxing on the Lanai with coffee or drinks, bbq ready for use, nice pool, ocean which is RIGHT OUT THE PATIO DOOR! This place is amazing. We shared a 3 bedroom condo, #305, with our daughter, son-in-law and 7 year old grandson for a full week in June 2013. It was perfect for us. Our favorite place was the lanai off the living area, facing the beach and the ocean. The grounds here are very nice and immaculately groomed. The location is perfect; lots of places...
