Let me break it down! Area: super accessible to all places on the island! Grounds: 500m max from the ocean (meh beach), beautifully kept grounds, well landscaped. Tentalows: glamping. Great in the rain. Cooler provided. Outdoor shower👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽❤❤❤. Two twin beds smoosh together to make a king. A pack and play fits! They would provide cots for kids. I would say...

Just returned from two weeks at Camp Olowalu in Maui and it was wonderful. We stayed in the tentalows (so technically we were "glamping" and not "camping") but it was an excellent choice. The camp is clean and the washrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in any campground anywhere. We had no issues at all and found that, other...

We were here the last of January. Nice people, great sunset and sunrise. Clean, nice showers and bathrooms but that's where it ends. The location for tent camping was far from comfortable. You are surrounded by dead trees that grow thorns, these thorn branches are everywhere, they even make it to the beach. No bbq grills, no fire pits, no...

What a place! The setting is romantic, and the campground comes to feel like a real home away from home, and a hobbit village! The coral reefs just offshore are really great snorkeling, and the weather is warm and in the wind shadow so the waters are often calm here when they are choppy elsewhere... My advice: if you're going...

The couple who manage the camp were very helpful and flexible and we really appreciated that. They stressed that this is a family-friendly place and people are expected to respect quiet hours and indeed it turned out to be a very quiet campground. At least, the people were quiet. It is right next to the highway so you have to...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Check in was pretty smooth, though we weren't quite sure what to do when we got there and they were closed from 11-1. A note would be nice. The sites were close together, but lovely and shady. Beach view was lovely at sunrise, and the few steps to get to the beach to snorkel...

My husband and I had just come from tent camping at the waianapanapa state park campground so this place was pure luxury! We rented a tentalow for two nights and it was perfect! They provide a sheet for the mattress,a blanket, pillowcase, pillow, bath towel and facecloth. There is a big wood lockable box with a safe inside (bring your...

We stayed here yet again... I think this was stay #8 over the years? We went for the tentalow this time, which was a good choice with some storms and big wind coming through. I've mentioned the pros (and cons) of Olowalu over the years, so here's the latest: - tons more tentalows going in, so it will be interesting...

We camped in our own tent at Olowalu for four nights. The location is wonderful -- further off the highway than the nearby state campground, right beside the beach, and with a juice truck, fruit stand, convenience store, and restaurant (with excellent coffee) across the highway from the entrance. Marjorie, the camp attendant we dealt with most often, is one...
