Always enjoy the relaxing vibe at this resort...very pleasant staff, helpful, accommodating. Had a couples massage this trip wich was awesome. We visit every year, alternating with Kauai. Will be back in March for whale-watching.

A few friends and I traveled to Maui, and after spending one night at very poor accommodations elsewhere (Aina Nalu By Outrigger) and needed to find a new place to spend the remainder of our week on the island. We got an absolutely amazing rate on a partial ocean view 1 bedroom (2 double bed) suite which we booked over the phone through Diamond Resorts directly. The room while slightly dated (particularly the bathroom and balcony) was very clean and much larger than we anticipated. The resort was very well kept, the lobby has a quintessential Hawaiian theme which is felt throughout the property. The pool area was immaculate with relaxing Hawaiian music playing consistently on the speakers. The pool/beach bar was very fairly priced (with great happy hour deals). The biggest thumbs down would have to be the lack of a true onsite restaurant, they have a carryout counter adjacent to the lower lobby that is subpar at best and very overpriced. There were many other food options within walking distance including a food truck park open every night with a plethora of options. Overall this property has to be one of the best values I have ever experienced at a beach resort, I would most definitely recommend and return in the future.

Location is great, beach is returning but still having issue with erosion in some areas room is comfortable, new furniture much better than old. Like the new flooring. Appliances showing age. Rope barriers to protect beach restoration are failing and not being replaced. Too many rental cabana chairs taking space where there is already natural shade. VIP check in is annoying trying to get you signed up for what will end up being sales pitch being described as Benefit for loyal members!$$

The resort has a great location. We checked in late and initially weren't happy with the room location. The front desk staff, Lady Ann, was very helpful and was able to move us to a better view still in our rate category. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The pool is also very nice. Maui County does have vaccination rules, so you have to show your vaccination card or negative Covid -19 test upon arrival. The restaurants also check your vaccination card for in person dining. There is also a putt-putt golf course on property. The grounds are maintained very well. In our 1 bedroom unit, there is only an electric skillet but you can also request a hot plate. There is a full size refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee pot, blender, etc. The Bathroom in the one bedroom is very large with 2 sinks, a bathtub, and a separate shower. Had a very nice time at this resort. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Room Tip: Get a room that is high up if you want to have a view of the ocean. Probably 4th floor or higher.

We stayed here for Christmas and New years. The vacation was amazing and relaxing. The resort was taking very appropriate measures for safety and social distancing. They had signs posted for make wearing and limiting elevators to 4 persons to maintain social distance as well as hand sanitizing stations all over the place. ..everyone on the resort from employees through to guests
followed rules only removing their masks during swimming and or sun bathing in lounge chairs. We had beautiful sunset views over the ocean. The on-site grills are a fantastic way to keep costs down for meals as well as maintain social distance . There were some issues with the grills ..a burned out ignitor and bad gas switch..on 2 different nights but when we reported this to the front desk it was addressed immediately and with aloha spirit The staff was always pleasant saying aloha each time we walked by or returned for the day from the beach or our hikes. This is not our first stay at kanapali beach and we hope to be blessed enough to return in the future.

Even though the pink building is not impressive were pleasantly surprised by the size of the kitchen cum dining + lounge. Even more impressed by the size of the bathroom which had both shower and bathtub. The bathroom was almost the size of a room having a separate door to the toilet with basin attached. Staff and bell boys are friendly and helpful. We were given a room with view of the garden, which we made full use by witnessing the impressive hula dance from our balcony put up by the resort. The resort staff were accommodating enough to provide credit for an older booking which was another reason for choosing the resort and are very happy with the result.
The kitchen is well equipped for a longer stay than 3 days which we had time for. It has a dishwasher, convection microwave, filter coffee machine, cutlery, and dishes. The resort has clothes washing and drying facility which if I had known would have saved carrying large luggage.

My husband and I and our 2 teenagers travel to Maui at least once a year. This was a last minute vacation. We usually stay on the other side of black rock near Whaler's Village but not much availability so we thought we would try something new and the price was right. We had a one-bedroom suite and pull out couch in living area. From the outside of the resort, the building looks outdated but we were pleasantly surprised! The room was huge! Appears some updates have been made fairly recently (flooring and furniture/decor) Large living and kitchen area and spacious master bedroom with plenty of storage and large closet. The oversized bathroom was awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful and whenever we needed items such as towels/soap/coffee, it was delivered almost immediately! The pool is very nice, refreshing and beautiful clean grounds. Plenty of lounge chairs to accommodate everyone! We loved that it never felt crowded at the resort or the pool and the room was very quiet! We ate at the pool for lunch one day and the food was all very good! The only downside is that there is a walkway being constructed behind the resort along the beach so there was no immediate access to the beach from the pool (I'm not sure when construction will be complete). You could get to the beach with limited access on the side of the resort. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star review. Great location! short drive to Whaler's Village and restaurants. We enjoyed walking about a block to the food trucks! Great food and something for everyone. (Note: the teenagers prefer resort with closer walking distance to Whalers. My husband and I would definitely come back to this resort for a couples getaway)

Last times I stay at a resort where selling timeshares is the primary goal. At registration we were told to visit the concierge, attend the resort orientation and receive our free gift which we could get if we attended the 2-hour time-share presentation. We said we wern't buying a timeshare but they said "doesn't matter". We took the bait. Everyone except the closer, who berated us for not buying, was polite and professional. The resort is just OK. Our suite was large and we had a small view of the ocean. We overlooked the hotel entrance. Once a week maid service. One small bottle of shampoo and lotion for the week. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice pool but members stake out their pool deck chairs in the early morning so there are no lounges if you get there after noon. Other hotels have signs that tell people if they do not use their lounge for an hour, staff will allow others to take the chair. Few umbrellas and little natural shade. beverage service on the pool deck. Cocktail lounge is pool-side. No beach access. You can rent a chair if you want to sit on the beach. Parking garage has two levels. If you park on the lower level you must use stairs to reach the hotel entrance. Rooms are being renovated. We visited one of the rooms and the only difference seemed to be the laminate floors versus carpet. Same awkward sink configuration in bathroom. Staff was excellent. I wouldn't stay there again, or at a Diamond Resort for that matter.

This resort is dated but the rooms are very comfortable and it has all the makings of a great vacation. Unfortunately, their lack of service really takes away from the experience. We were there during COVID, but they had so few services as compared to neighboring resorts. I had to check in twice, both times were long waits, and once was only to pick up our keys. There were no open restaurants (snack bar take out only) and all drinks were picked up too. There was no poolside service. I counted about 16 umbrellas around the pool, totally disproportionate to the # of rooms, so there was never available seating or umbrellas. The hot tub required a reservation, and pools and hot tubs closed at 7:30. Beach chairs / umbrellas had to be rented, canbanas were rented, there was no valet service, and the rooms were not cleaned the whole week. This was not explained at check in, so our expectations were not established correctly. This is a high end resort without high end amenities or service. We went to the neighboring resort for dinner and families were enjoying the pool, sitting around firepits, and it had a totally different vibe from ours. So many times our questions were met with one word answers (usually no). The experience here was much different than the service we experienced elsewhere in Hawaii!

Our experience was terrible. We were on the 12th floor and had absolutely no running water for the most of our stay (3 days). They did not inform anything about water issues when we checked in.
When we tried to inform the front desk of our issues, they were rude and unhelpful, and they kept taking new guests despite ongoing water issues. We asked the first day if we could switch rooms because we asked around to other guests and noticed they had water on the lower floors, however, our request was declined on multiple times. After paying more than $1000 Dollar per night for our stay, they did not provide basis necessity like water and sanitary environment. Out of all my travel experiences, this was by far the worst and most terrible situation.

Aloha, we do have a beach access point near our property, however we are right in front of a water channel, it may get rough at times. You can find clammer waters near the town of Lahaina, which is about 10 minutes' drive from the Ka'anapali Beach Club. Mahalo.
