These are great condos with a beach area that is right off a park. Our unit was a bit dated in the living room, but the kitchen was recently renovated and was nice. This unit is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. We had 3 sets up luggage that were between 40-50 lbs each and it was...

Unit #117, located north of Ka’anapali (despite its Lahaina address) is a perfect setting for a Maui vacation. There may be better locations, but I have a difficult time imagining one, especially at this price. Valerie, the manager, was very friendly and helpful The sunset views from our ground-level patio, with a backdrop of Molokai’s cloud-shrouded peaks, the island of...

Hale Kai is absolutely perfect for a quiet, relaxed vacation. It is very quiet and private. Our condo had upgraded amenities and was very spacious. The location right on the beach and next to a park cannot be beat. Walking distance to a lot of local restaurants and shopping, we barely used our rental car. We can't wait to go...

To start, I must tell you that my wife and I were owners here for 16 years but sold about 11 years ago...so I KNOW this complex! All units are individually owned. Some have upgraded their units and they are very nice. Others, like the one I'm in now, (#109), are tired and could use some work. Still, for the...

I was here for 11 nights in late January. It was my 4th trip to the Islands over 20 years' time. This was, by far, the best. I stayed in my girlfriend's family condo, Unit 221, which is an end unit. It was extremely comfortable and inviting. This is a small 2-story building (actually 2 buildings perpendicular to each other,...

Hale Kai is a magic little condo complex, it is right next door to a park and across the street from a market and they have gas grills with a great view... There is even a colony of sea turtles that live right off shore and come to visit. We have stayed here several times over the years along with...

I really enjoyed my trip to Maui in late February, 2016 and our stay at Hale Kai #205. I was pleasantly surprised to have walking access to the Farmer's Market and good coffee during our stay. There's also just a panoply of really good food options in Honokowai and Napili. While the unit may be a tad dated (I'm thinking...

When you stay at the Hale Kai you become part of the ohana(family) . We stayed in #213 and as always was wonderful. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bath and living area. The whales and turtles are wonderful to watch sitting pool side. Evening sunset gathering to blow the conch is wonderful.

Aloha Ruth, Thanks for sharing your feedback and for your continuous patronage. The whales and turtles right in front of the property are truly a sight to behold, whether by the oceanfront pool or right from our lanai. We'll look forward to hosting you again next year. We stayed in room 217. The condo is small, but has everything you need. Parking out front and the pool and ocean in the back. The condo was clean with a full kitchen with small living room. While it was a little cluttered with the amount of furniture, it fit our family of three very well (teenager on the couch)....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hale Kai means "Home by the Sea" in Hawaiian, and we are well named since we're located right on the West Maui coastline where we feature scenic views of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi directly offshore. Conveniently situated midway between the Ka'anapali and Kapalua resort areas, we're just a 10-15 minute drive from most any West Maui attraction. We are located in real community with a local park, a thrice weekly Farmers' Market, and numerous, reasonably priced stores and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Come stay with us and know what it is to have lived Hawaii instead of merely visited there! ... more   less
