If you want to feel the Aloha Spirit then this is the place. Great location at Black Rock area. Snorkel with the sea turtles and lots of fish. Not a monster hotel with water slides, etc. but beautiful manicured grounds and convenient to Whalers Village, golf and other

This is the second time we've stayed here. The location is great, the cleaning ladies are a kind, hard working group. The grounds outside are beautiful, and right on the beach. The only drawback is that the rooms are just a bit tired looking, and our key card lock was

We just checked in and were informed that they overbooked the rooms and they only had garden view rooms available. We booked an ocean view room. They know how many rooms they have so there is no excuse except greed to overbook. They did offer to refund the difference but how

Room was decent. Bathroom was quite small with only a shower sharing the room with the toilet and a single sink adjacent. Both my wife and I saw bugs of some kind in the bathroom area, not sure if that’s typical for a ground floor room. The pool was okay and beach area is really

How is the weather in February, we usually come in April, is it comparable
There was both misty rain and sunshine. There was some heavy rain in several areas on the road to Hana. The temperature was perfect; in the mid 70's. Fun waves were coming in on shore.

can you swim at the beach in front oof the hotel?
Yes, you can swim. The comments regarding rough waves are sort-of right, and sort-of not. When the weather is worse (as it was two weeks ago), the surf can be rough nearest the hotel. But when the sea is calmer (which is a lot of the time in Ka'anapali), then it's no problem even for children, especially if you walk up the beach a couple hundred yards toward Black Rock, where the beach is more shallow. Very kid friendly in calmer seas there.

It is too far of a distance from the airport to the hotel for Uber. However, there are several shuttle vans available from the airport that are perfect. During the time of my stay, I witnessed vans arriving full of very happy passengers. My first impression was that they might be hotel vans, but I was corrected by hotel staff. Good call on your part! A car is only marginally necessary, expensive, and the hotel charges $30 daily for valet parking ($25 for self park).

"We didn't stay there, just ate the take-out food. Worth the effort to get if you want to get something to eat quickly."
"Rooms facing the pool have decent "partial" ocean views for watching the humpbacks during whale season."
"Pay for ocean front or hope to get lucky with a room close to the ocean side of the building if you want ocean view"
"For a quieter experience, choose the Kaua'i or Moloka'i wings"
"We like the 5th floor - door faces the mountains and lania faces the ocean and grounds"
