Closest accommodation to the Haleakala crater. Lovely two-story room with views. Great restaurant. Helpful, friendly and efficient restaurant and bar staff. Check-in staff efficient. Internet limited to the bar.

The Kula Lodge is in the up country area of Maui. Located about 4000 feet above sea level the Lodge is about half way up Haleakala. Due to its location the Lodge is a popular stop for tourists on the way up or down from the sumit. There is a restaurant with a nice general market/shop on the property. The...

We stayed one night in chalet number 1 after a day hiking Haleakala. As best I could tell this is the closest lodging to the national park. As soon as we checked in we were left speechless by the views from our deck that stretched from Kahului to The Lahaina Pali. The whole of central Maui is clearly visible. The...

This morning on our way up to the A&L Lavender farm, we stopped at Kula Lodge for brunch. We were seated next to this large picture window, looking down on Maui. My wife ordered the Belgian Waffle with Strawberry Cream Cheese and fresh Pineapple. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with Macadamia Nuts and Coconut syrup. When the meal was delivered,...

Visited Kula Lodge on our way to Haleakala. Delicious juices, hot coffee, Portuguese sausage and eggs, pancakes with warm maple syrup and guava syrup and whipped butter! No complaints from our table. The grounds were immaculately kept and fun to wander around. Easy stop on the way there or back!

We didn't actually stay here, though we certainly will when we return for more hiking in the national park area, we had the best breakfast with a view after coming back down the summit after a morning hike. We had to wait about 15 minutes, but they have beautiful gardens and chameleons hanging around...so didn't seem like much of a...

Came over for breakfast after the sunrise experience in Haleakala. We had their banana pancakes with coconut syrup (new and delicious), their eggs platter and their huevos rancheros served on a crispy tortilla bowl. Food was great but the view was even better.

We had such a relaxing tone in this gorgeous setting for a lodge. Our windows opened up to a beautiful garden with expansive views of central Maui all the way to the ocean. Relaxing, spacious, and such a comfortable place to stay after a full day of traveling and hiking. We would love to come back.

We had heard about the restaurant at Kula Lodge so stopped on our way down from watching the sunrise on Haleakala, which by the way is amazing and well worth getting up for. We were told the buttermilk pancakes with macadamia nuts and coconut syrup was great so we both ordered it with a side of bacon. Hear me when...
