Our group was 3 adults, and 4 kids. We live on Maui, and had camped at Hana Bay the first night.WE stayed in the front 2 bedroom cottage. WE walked up earlier that day, met the owner, and booked the place for that night! Cash only, no taxes or extra fees! Although the place is older, it was clean enough...

A friend had secured this place at the last minute so we could attend a wedding. We stayed in the one-bedroom unit which consisted of 2 twin beds. The living room was huge but I refused to sit on the furniture. The couch cushions are covered with blankets and appeared dirty. As you can see from the photos, the lanai...

This is the third time I've stayed at the Aloha Cottages. This time we rented a beautiful, rustic home in Hana for the Hana relays. To start it off, I talked with Mrs. Naka mural months ago. She reserved the room for our family and friends. When we got there, we met Mrs. Nakamura, and she is the absolutely nicest...

The owner is a nice old lady, the hotel is located near the beach, and from your window you can see the ocean and bananas and papayas growing. We had two bedrooms and a living room with kitchenette. Everything else was not good. The property was extremely outdated. My daughter got a splinter while using the rails. There were many...

These are old cabins. We read previous reviews, so we knew what to expect. They were exactly what we needed. There are two bedrooms, both of good size. The one bedroom has two twin beds, the other one has a full or queen size bed. We have a California King at home, so I'm not sure. Everything was clean. There...

I've stayed at the Aloha Cottages a few times over the years. They are very basic (perhaps a little rustic) accommodations. If you want wifi, tv, and modern linens then you need to go elsewhere (and prepare to drop a lot of money for that in Hana), but if you're like us and just looking for a little getaway where...

I had read other reviews so we were prepared for a not very clean, rustic environment, and that's what we got! The owner was very nice, we only saw her for 10 minutes as we paid and got the key. We did not meet the husband others wrote about. We had a cottage close but off her main property. We...

Mr. Owner yelled at me several times. And he stared at us angrily while we were packing. Never been treated like this before. He is really an extremely unpleasant person. I feel bad for his family. Yes, the place is cheap, and wonderful in the ways other reviewers have described. But it is not often in life that someone is...

Found this place via trip advisor and called about a week or two before our visit to book & was able to change our days based on weather which I appreciated greatly. The owners are locals (4th generation Japanese older couple) who will take a credit card to reserve the room but acccept cash at check in (no plastic). My...
