The hotel is an old plantation house that the old Dole executives used to stay in. The climate of Lanai is cool, the air clean and refreshing. You can smell the pine trees with every breath. Lanai City is not really a city but a town with one main street that circles Dole Park. Manele Bay Four Seasons is at... More

For a quick getaway I think this quiet Hawaiian isle is your best bet. The airport is small and the city is more like a strip and if you blink you will pass right by it! Luckily we had a car and it felt as if we were the only ones in it! The land was filled with red dirt... More

What a pleasant and satisfying experience I had at the Hotel Lanai! The room was exceptional and clean and I loved that bed (mattress) and Hawaiian Quilt! I had such a great night sleep! But what I really want you to know is that two of the employee's gave exceptional customer service to me - Shanette and Bart. Shanette went... More

As I have read some of the other rewiews I am glad I don't read them prior to my visit, it may have made me question my decision to stay when there was absolutely no reason to. The most important thing to remember is why you or what you are choosing this beautiful little place. This is truely a place... More

Okay-- I had read the reviews about Hotel Lanai and was worried about the noise. We wanted to stay here since it's historic (and the prices are better than the resorts). So we took a chance and... it is loud, however we never had to use the earplugs that I took with us in case it was too loud. You... More

Aloha, traditional Hawaiian comfort and care through and through; from the manicured landscape to the eager greeting Sarah and the entire staff conveys this is manifest Aloha. Perched hillside overlooking the village square this cottage style sanctuary reminds one somewhat of Caneel Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This venue is lovingly cared for with attentive precision. The rooms are... More

If you can live without a television, and if you aren't willing to spend $400 a night for a room, this is the only hotel on Lanai for you. Our room, a "standard," was small but tastefully furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially a desk clerk named Sarah. The restaurant was excellent but much pricier than the hotel... More

Although expensive the hotel and all staff were gracious and helpful. Lanai is charming; we enjoyed eating at the local cafes with the locals, nice little shops, spent time at both 4 Season Resorts. All in all we enjoyed our time in Lanai, could walk all over the town, very clean!

As we come from a small SE Alaskan community we found Lanai to be a good fit. The small plane ride from Honolulu reminded us of home. The bus service seemed overpriced at first but we used it a lot and proved to be fair, one driver even made a detour for us to catch the ferry to Maui one... More
