First, if you do want to stay here, book directly on the website so you can choose your room. Our room as not nice at all. It was old and dirty (see pics) and I definitely don't recommend this room. I can't recall the room...More
We spent 3 weeks at Poipu Shores 102B and loved every minute! The view from the lanai is absolutely the best view we’ve had on Kauai in the 6 times we’ve been here. You may just decide to stay in the whole time you’re here...More
Sleep to the sound of the crashing waves! This view is stunning. The rooms are comfortable. We shared a two bedroom two bath that was well appointed. Ask for flour fans since there is no AC, it helped enormously. Be sure to check out the...More
Complex was built in the early 70's and rebuilt twice in 1982 and 1992, due to hurricanes. Each apartment faces the shoreline and has a private lanai. There is a swimming pool as well as a common area and two gas bbq for free use....More
The view from the lanai can't be beat. Waves crashing against the shoreline. We saw sea turtles every day. The main bedroom was ideal. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the back bedroom. It faces the outdoor hallway which can be...More
Think it depends on the unit you're renting. Ours did not have air conditioning but there were ceiling fans in each room and there was always a breeze to keep things comfortable. But we were there in Feb. too.

i stayed in the unit which has the lanai ;i believe dit was 101 b and it did have air conditioning.the owner of the adjacent unit was there and i asked the same question regarding a/c.he stated that the upper unit get cross ventilation and just open the doors for the breeze which blows daily.i for one would recommend either of the units that share the deck or lanai. the deck is 20 by 20 has table and chairs and lounge chairs and juts over the ocean.only the tow units have access to the deck.we would sit out there and watch the turtles each day and enjoy the sunset each night.we plan on going back in 2016.to avoid heat issues avoid the summer months.best month according to locals may or November.we did november and it was in the 80's each day.on our next trip we will do may.do rent the unit with the deck .we really loved the shores location and it was in walking distance to the state beach and to the grand hyatt.
