Five years ago we stayed at Ko'a Kea and did it again for the last five nights. Service at breakfast sometimes super but the next day somewhat uninspired. Service during the perfect diner superb. Reception at arrival, perfect and friendly. Our room just a dream...More
We had a short stay at Koa Kea enroute to the North shore and we were very impressed with the resort. Check-in is a warm and gracious experience - the staff are friendly, open and courteous. The hotel lobby and central pool grounds has a...More
We spent a lovely 5 days at this hotel and found it relaxing and great beachfront location - we were happy with our beachfront suite but I agree with some of the other reviews that say that if you don’t have an ocean front room,...More
I don’t review much unless I really like a place. We have been coming to Kauai for years and have tried Poipu several times without positive experiences. We really prefer the north shore and spend 5-6 weeks per year there. It’s been a couple years...More

Hello, we had the full ocean view from room 348. It was a lovely suite with 2 patios. It rained for part of our stay but we still loved just relaxing with the door open watching the waves. The pool is small but adequate for adults. Nothing for kids there and it’s not a party scene. We loved the staff, the amenities and the spa. The Aloha ritual couples massage was out of this world! There was a mini fridge in the room and nexpresso coffee maker. We stocked up with fresh juice up the road at Kauai juice and that was great. If you’re going to the beach elsewhere, the valets will set you up with towels and umbrella. The beach just out front is great for swimming and light snorkeling or surfing. Also the Red Salt restaurant on site is fantastic! Don’t miss the sushi bar on Saturday night.

We were there for five days this month and we only had four total hours of sunshine the entire trip. It literally rained the entire time and was quite cool. Bring long sleeves and rain gear. We travelled the entire island by car and was raining everywhere we went. Embrace the weather, don’t let it spoil your plans and remember, its known as the Garden Island for a reason!
