We just returned from our honeymoon on Kauai and have nothing but praise for the Kauai Inn. If you're looking for a big expensive resort that you never have to leave, this is not your place. However, if you're planning on actually exploring Kauai while you're on Kauai, this is definitely the best and most economical option. We could tell...

We booked five rooms overnight before our flight out after nine days on the north shore. We had special requirements and the staff was very helpful in both meeting the requirements and keeping everyone close together. We also kept a room the next day until 6pm before our evening flight, and although it would have been reasonable they didn't charge...

Oldest Hotel on Kauai 100$ Standard Room queensized bed, breakfast and Wifi incl. Very warm and welcoming hotel 5 km southwest of Lihue. Rooms are neither big nor small but well cleaned and maintained, if a little old. There is a small cafeteria outside and a clean and big pool with surrounding chairs and tables. There is also a big...

We were finishing up a 13 day stay on the island, and just needed a place to stay for 2 days before our departure. The Inn was very clean, but dated. The carpeting needed replacement. The pool was wonderful, and the location of the Inn was great for the airport, and short trips on this side of the island. The...

This is a very good hotel for a short stay on the island of Kauai. I would have rated it 4 stars but I took a star off because the receptionist took almost 30 minutes to call the taxi (because she was talking to other people) to go to the airport, so we were late for our check in.... Ok,...

I'll be making reservations later today for March 2012. We stayed at the Kauai Inn in 2009 and 2011 and were totally pleased with the experience. It's a great value, has beautiful grounds, is clean and centrally located. It does not take that long to drive west to Po'ipu or even Koke'e. Kapa'a is a stone's throw away and the...

The Kauai Inn is an excellent family-run hotel just outside Lihue; a terrific value at a very reasonable rate. Getting there does involve driving through the small port area and past some warehouses, but the hotel itself is in a small residential neighborhood that backs up to some tall nearby cliffs. Grounds are well kept and the small pool was...

When I take a few days aside from 'working travel,' I generally try to minimize expenses as much as possible. I have even stayed in hostels when local motel rates seem a bit high! After some online review, it appeared that a satisfactory hostel was not in the offing on Kauai (although I have found fine ones on Hawaii and...

Stayed at the Kauai Inn for 5 nights in November '11. The pictures tell the truth, this place looks like something out of your Hawaiian dreams! Beautiful green mountains behind the place, lagoons pool side. Can't quite see the ocean from there, but the lagoon looks cool and the ocean is a short drive away. Fantastic continental breakfast of breads,...
