We stayed in Banana Patch in a one-bedroom condo We enjoyed the generous space and amenities such as washer and dryer. You can see the condo inside on the website for Hale Kua Most of all, we enjoyed the setting, which is incredibly beautiful. You are 3/4 mile from the main road that encircles all of Kauai. You are 10-15...

We had a lovely time at the Hale Kua. It is located in a beautiful, quiet place up on the hillside above Lawai. Perfect for those of us who appreciate dark and quiet at night. It's secluded and set in the midst of fabulous trees, shrubs and flowers. We traveled as two couples and we were located in the Taro...

What a wonderful experience to stay at the "Cottage". Mornings to wake up with bird song and rooster calls (did not annoy me one bit!), self catered breakfast, then a walk up the hill for the most breath taking view down the forest canopy and the glinting Pacific. Pick some fruit from the trees, munch on your way back. Do...

Our second stay with Hale Kua: this time we came just as a couple and stayed in the cottage. We loved it - the hillside view, the little washer/dryer and kitchen, spacious bedroom and perfect bathroom. Excellent value for the price, and very nicely secluded!

Stayed four nights at Hale Kua, which was our base to explore the south shore, Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park. It is hidden away in a rural area close to the wilderness, about 1/2 hour from Lihue (45 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic). Make sure you have proper instructions as it is somewhat hard to find, especially...

Hale Kua was a great relaxing spot for out vacation. Although there were others staying in the building, our neighbors were as quiet and private as we were. Wonderful breezes and loved listening to the island sounds(except the forever crowing roosters) Another review suggested keeping windows in bedroom closed and run the fan to avoid being woken up at 4....

My Fiance and I stayed at the Coral Tree room and loved it. There was a ton of space, the kitchen was well appointed, and we had a good amount of privacy. Unlike a lot of other places we had seen inland in Kauai, there was actually a good view across the valley from the room. We couldn't see the...

Nice accomodations. Tropical surroundings. Relaxed and quiet. Really enjoyed the condiments in the fridge and spices in cupboard. Many extras like beach chairs, mats, beach umbrella, and cooler. Did not appreciate being woken up by rooster at 3:40 a.m. That would be the only reason I wouldn't go back. With all the baby chicks this problem is only going to...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hale Kua B&B. They didn't have many people there so they upgraded us to the cottage without changing the price. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't see them much during our stay after we checked in so it felt very private and isolated which was great. The breakfast was just homemade...

I am writing to remind those purchasing your trip online with any of the dot.coms to be sure you call directly, well in advance to ensure the reservation. My husband and I landed to be told that the owners were not aware of our booking up till about a 1/2 hour before our call. Apparently, they are notified by email,...

I agree with this couple, if you book through a dot.com, please take the time to double check! We do most of our bookings directly with guests and do a very limited number online with the various dot.coms. They notify me by email of bookings and give me no guest information other than an name and occasional phone number. Just...
