Our 5th visit in 9 years. It starts with the hosts, one of a kind. Sandy, a real doll, you want her around with her warm, captivating smile all the time. And Garret knows everything. If you enjoy talking history, you’ll be enthralled. The place is ideally located in the middle of Volcano Village. Can walk to two well-stocked and...

We stayed in the Artist House for three nights and it was a great experience. Driving off the Old Volcano Road you are entering a real jungle on your way to the office and the Artist house. There is a parking lot right beneath the first floor and a few steps lead you to the entrance. You have a very...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay a lot- it is quiet and peaceful. The cottage is very specious and lacks nothing. The grounds are spectacular. Very highly recommend. The host knows a lot of information about hiking trails, volcano, and snorkeling in Big Island.

Stayed here for two nights, the entry drive looks like a drive into a tropical garden. Tall ferns, flowers, moss everywhere. Sandy brings breakfast to your door. Quiet, peaceful, & serene. Garrett recommended the best places to eat. The couple is such a pleasure to visit with. When visiting Volcano National Park, this is the place to stay.

When Garret told us he knew more than the people at the Visitors Center, I took that hyperbole with a grain of salt. Well. maybe a couple of grains. But Garret's plentiful advice, on everything from where to eat and type of food to when and what to visit in the national park were dead on. Thanks to his advice,...
