This is the second time we stayed here, and each case we found our room to be very comfortable and cozy. We had a delicious dinner in their very nice dining room, and the included breakfast was filling and tasty. The best part is that you are very close to Jagger Museum where you have the best view into Kilauea...

Warning - if you want to eat at the restaurant, you need reservations. We read good reviews & thought we would eat there after going to the Volcano Park. But when we got there, we were told we needed reservations (that happened to us 3 times at restaurants on the Big Island).

Had a great stay at this historic place (former YWCA camp) a very short drive for National Park Entrance. My wife and younger daughter stayed in a really nice two bedroom cottage with full kitchen and my married daughter stayed in the main lodge with her husband. Perfect spot for visiting the main park, also for driving all the way...

Kilauea Lodge was delightful. We stayed in Tutu's Place, which was spacious and very comfortable for us and our two teens. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We would highly recommend the Lodge and hope to stay there again someday.

This lodge on the mountain near Volcanos National Park is a lovely setting for a volcano in a rainforest. The rooms are simply, comfortably furnished with a Hawaiian decor. Tropical birds awaken you, delicious breakfasts, and warming fireplace to snuggle around on chill evenings. Idyllic!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kilauea Lodge. We were in the Ola'a Plantation House which was very spacious, well appointed and cozy. The bird song in the morning was really amazing. The location is extremely convenient to the park. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great, especially for dinner. We would gladly return to...

Both hotel & restaurant staff were competent and friendly and always exceeded our expectations. Rooms are clean, spacious and nicely furnished. The restaurant Is warm and charming and offers a very good selection of fresh prepared food. Preparation and presentation of the individual courses is excellent. Well sorted wine list.

If you are planning to spend a day or more in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, this lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It's certainly not a "typical" Hawaiian vacation site -- no beach or waving palms -- but if you're looking for a quiet, mountain cabin-type feel with easy access to the park (just minutes from the park entrance),...

Awesome place to stay! We rented the Ola'a cottage and could not have been happier with the accommodations. Will recommend to friends and family visiting the Big Island. Very spacious, private and clean.

We stayed here because of its proximity to Volcanoes National Park. Kilauea Lodge far exceeded our expectations. The room was bright and cheery. The gas fireplace was appreciated. As was the thoughtful extras such as the towel warmer. The grounds were beautiful, planted with orchids and other tropical flowers. The breakfast was delicious and the portions generous. I would highly...

Mahalo. It is fun to have a garden here because all those exotics grow like they were native. the cymbidium orchids, azaleas, camellias. Speaking of camellia, Volcano has become a tea growing paradise. tea is a camellia and it loves our acidic environment. Such fun to add tea to the coffee plantations nearby. aloha Lorna
