This was our 2nd stay here and it was wonderful. Our first visit we stayed in Haleakala (previous review 2007, I think). This visit we reserved Hale Kilauea. On arrival we were greeted by Innkeeper Kuulei, her adorable son Damien and resident cat Gino. Kuulei showed us to Mauna Loa. I quickly said, "Oh no..we are booked for Kilauea". Imagine...

Volcano Village Lodge is the most fantastic location in amongst a peaceful beautiful rain-forest. We explored the nearby volcanoes with Native Hawaiian Guide Warren Costa and had an amazing experience and holiday. I cannot speak highly enough of the Lodge. Forget high glitz and glam holidays and go for the peaceful retreat and sanctuary of beautiful Volcano Village Lodge. Breakfast...

We recently had the opportunity to stay overnight in a fabulous lodge right outside Volcano National Park in Volcano, Hawaii. The lodge (name doesn't do it justice!) is a group of beautiful little bungalows tucked into a tropical paradise setting. Every detail has been thoughtful addressed.. beautifully designed buildings, pretty linens, flashlights for walking to see the lava flow at...

My husband and I live on Maui and wanted to get away for my 50th birthday. We've stayed in many locations on the various Hawaiian islands and have now found our perfect getaway. Proprietress Kay Lee provided ample breakfast, fresh fruit and snack choices. Also, thank you for helping Roger surprise me at dinner. We stayed in the Hale Kilauea...

Wonderful accomidations. The owner and staff were fantastic. I have traveled all over the world and I can honestly say this was about the best I've ever experienced. They even made special vegan breakfasts for my wife. I'm posting some photos/video from my hike to see the lava flows.

We stayed in the Mauna Kea room for one night while visiting the Volcano National Park. The room was beautiful with a nice gas fire burning to warm things up. The room was very clean and well maintained and stocked with snacks and a nice breakfast for the next morning. At night we strolled over for dip in the hot...

We stayed 2 nights at Volcano Village Lodge in early March and loved it! It’s located 5 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HVNP) but feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the rainforest. We stayed in the Mauna Loa, the largest of the 5 “lodges” on the property. We chose the Mauna Loa because of the privacy...

Wonderful relaxing zen setting close to Volcano National park. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in one of the most amazing lodges we've ever been to. Quiet, serene, immaculate and relaxing--right in the middle of a rain forest. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, the room with its wood and glass made us feel like we...

Just returned from three weeks on the Big Island. We go every year to Kona but this year decided to spend three nights in Volcano. The pictures online don't do it justice. It is impossible to capture the sights and sounds and feeling of peace and tranquility. I knew Volcano National Park was a destination but now consider Volcano Village...

We stayed in the Hale Kilauea, and although this is the smallest 'room', it was the perfect size for us. It is a rain forest paradise! From the beginning to the end, it was a perfect visit. The grounds of the resort are perfect, a quiet oasis. Our room was spectacular! From the most comfortable 'hotel' bed I've ever slept...
