We spent 3 nights at Volcano Village Lodge. It was wonderful...nothing not to like. We had to change rooms after the first night due to booking availability, but we knew that in advance and agreed to it. We were offered a discount too because of it. Our first night was in Hale Manaluna which was a little bit more spacious...

Tucked away in the rainforest, Volcano Village Lodge is a unique experience. I'll put it this way, we didn't even meet nor see any of the staff until we checked out after two days. Very relaxing and quiet. The room (Mauna Loa) was very nicely appointed and huge. The whole property is set up with privacy in mind and it...

While visiting the volcano area in Hawaii (big island) we stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge. What an outstanding experience! Tucked back in the rain forest, with wonderful individual "lodge" buildings, with the song birds, it was a wonderful place to stay. Truly unique rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful (and unobtrusive). Their recommendations for places to eat...

This was our first visit to the Big Island. We spent several days at the Volcano Village Lodge in Hale Manaluna (spacious, with every imaginable amenity). B&B is surraunded by the rain forest. The location is great as well - less than a mile away from the park. Clean, comfortable, a tru gem.

lovely hexagon huts surrounded by beautiful tree ferns. A very relaxing and tranquil setting and every little detail has been thought through. It was alittle tight for a family of 4 with the breakfast table but we all really loved it anyways. Great Lanai to spend an evening or morning. The hot tub was a great extra (especially with the...

I felt as if we were in a treehouse. It was one of the best experiences I have had in my travels. The room was beautiful and the setting was magnificent. We felt like we were in a jungle without any animals. Everything was so clean. And, the bed was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic and everything you wanted...

This was our second visit to the Big Island. We spent several days at the Volcano Village Lodge in Hale Manaluna. Our room was spacious, with every imaginable amenity. The rain forest setting was lush and the only sounds to be heard were tropical birdsongs. The staff was friendly and wonderfully inconspicuous. Breakfast was generous and included a wide variety...

We found this place online at the Big Island B&B website. The photos on their website give you a pretty good idea of what to expect, but the overall experience is much cooler. We stayed in the room connected to the main house where all guests come to check in. Our room was full of windows, but since you are...

It's not often you get a lot more than you expected in a hotel stay. But words like romance, tranquility, hospitality understate the amazing service Kay and her friendly staff provide. Each day the chalet is packed with a fresh breakfast which has to be seen to be believed. The chalet we stayed in (Mauna Loa) would be perfect for...
