My wife and I chose this B&B because there were no hotel rooms available. In the end we considered ourselves lucky to have resorted to a plan B&B, if you'll forgive the pun. Regina, the hostess, obviously loves running a B&B - she was gracious, chatty without being intrusive, and she has an encyclopedic knowledge of the sights that Regina... More

We had a lovely stay here - Regina was very welcoming, room was nice & cosy and the breakfasts were great! Would highly recommend staying in Volcano for the easy access to the Volcano National Park which can easily take multiple days to see.

I chose the Lava Pond Lodge for its location and reasonable price. What a jewel of a place! It is nestled in "the jungle" only about 5 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, and beautifully decorated. Our hostess, Regina, is a friendly warm person, and very knowledgeable about the area. Her breakfasts were delicious! Different... This B & B in the Volcano area of the Big Island is a great place to stay while visiting Volcanoes National Park and surrounding areas. Regina and Darius do all that they can to make the setting relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast is highlighted by perfectly ripened papaya boats filled with fruit salad. Bagels, muffins, toast, hard-boiled eggs, and... More

Regina makes Lava Pond Lodge the perfect place to stay when visiting the National Park. We stayed 5 nights and it was a highlight of our time in the Hawaiian Islands. Our room, Kipuka, was quiet, cozy, bed comfortable, bathroom spotless and we enjoyed using our own verandah. We had the use of a bar fridge, local guidebook, umbrella (it... More

This B&B is close to Volcano NP in the rain forest. It's like staying at a relatives house for a visit. From the very start Regina makes you welcomed and very comfortable. We stayed in the bamboo orchid room. There was a wide variety of choices at breakfast, but the best part was the conversation with our host and the... More

My wife and I had a great stay at the Lava Pond Lodge on our honeymoon. We chose it because of it's proximity to the National Park and we couldn't have been happier to see how close it was. The room was cozy and the innkeepers couldn't have been nicer. We had never stayed in a B&B so we were... More

Lovely little B&B right in Volcano; just a short drive from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. Regina is an excellent hostess who is quick to provide local insights and tips and a yummy breakfast. We stayed in the enchanted forest room with our 11 year old twin girls. The room sleeps four, has a fridge and microwave, and private... More

This is a lovely B&B set in a tropical jungle type setting. Proprietor is lovely and makes an awesome mango fruit breakfast along with other amenities. My husband and I stayed here three nights while we explored Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The house is gorgeous inside - the online photos don't do it justice. We were in the Kipuka room.
