We had a very nice stay at the Volcano Inn. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful! And don't miss out on their breakfast! The banana bread was so good that I asked for a few pieces to take with us and they didn't even blink an eye. They had it packaged up in no time. The first night... More

In my opinion, This is a great place to stay when visiting the Volcano's National Park. The corner window room offers a great and exotic view in the forest, it is quiet and very private. The main building has a friendly and helping staff (we made free phone calls and reservations and they were accommodating) and the banana bread at... More

We stayed here for three (3) nights and really enjoyed the friendly staff and convenience of location. Our room was downstairs with outside private entrance and parking near our door. Upstairs was the room to relax in with wood stove and coffee/tea and good breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed the papaya etc. I would stay here again and the surroundings... More

We spent 3 nights here because of the proximity to Volcanoes National Park just a mile away. Our room was at the second site close by. It was cool, a bit dripping from the trees, and very quiet. The view from the corner window is amazing, we were in the rain forest. The bed and bath were fine and the... More

Two couples stayed here for two nights. We both were enchanted with our rooms. On arrival we had a really warm welcome by I think her name was Lisa.??? She was very kind and sweet and answered many questions. The rooms we stayed in were on a different street. We walked down a short , stone path to the building that... More

We spent one night at the Volcano Inn when we visited the volcano national park a week ago. We were amazed at how nice this inn was! We had the "Volcano" room, which was at the main location but a short drive away. It's a room on the second floor of the building which has a first floor unit as... More

This hotel (or inn) is absolutely amazing! My wife and I had a corner window room for two nights. The room itself is quite small with a queen bed and a decent sized bathroom. Certainly not a luxury room but the location and setting are absolutely wonderful and completely worth the price. The windows are huge with a view of... More

Ask for the large standard "MAUNA kEA" room or comparable. On the top floor - loads of windows. Only downside is that there is no mini-fridge. The crater room is on the first floor and is more of a dorm room - don't accept it as a substitute for a large standard room. It is more of a family room... More

A wonderful getaway near the Volcano! The Volcano Inn is our place of choice when we visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and the place we recommend to friends who visit us on The Big Island. Reasonably priced, spartan clean, super friendly, and exceedingly well maintained, this is a little "peace" of paradise where we have returned for over twenty years.... More
