The Volcano Inn on old Volcano Road in Volcano, Hawaii is an absolute gem! VERY clean, VERY quiet, with all of the amenities and thoughtful additions that travelers welcome. It is adjacent to the Park, and we are hiking there today after a wonderful breakfast of homemade banana bread and fresh Papaya and delicious coffee. We had a corner room...

The rooms were spotless, large, and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent in a beautiful common area. The grounds were very attractive. The hot tub in the rain at night in the rain forest was great. I'd rate it a 4.5 if that was an option. My only complaint was that the queen bed was very firm, more than I like,...

Our stay here was pretty good. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. It has great wifi and is incredibly close to the park entrance and the visitors center. This gets two stars off, because the beds were uncomfortable, and i family and I didn't get any sleep.

What a lovely place to stay. All rooms are so private and you feel like you are part of the tropical rain forest. We especially like the large common area. We have been there 8 times now over the past 4 years and love it. The price is reasonable and now includes a yummy continental breakfast. If it is rainy...

I reserved five nights as we wanted to spend plenty of time exploring VNP and other sights on the south side of the island. The inn offers great rates if you stay multiple nights since there is no housekeeping service. I think we paid around $82 a night and sent a check at the time of booking. Prior to our...

Good value with great service and outstanding breakfast. One downside but lots of good or really good. Family of four stayed one night. We had a "suite" which was a room with small queen bed and bunk beds and another room with bunk beds and a table and chairs separated by a curtain. Not a lot of privacy between rooms...

We stayed there 1 night, in the Mauna Kea room (upstairs). The location is perfect a few minutes from the volvano park. The room was very spacious with big windows and view on the surrounding forest. Coffee and tea were available all day long in the common area, with microwave oven and fridge. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. For...

This is our second time staying at the Volcano Inn and we loved it. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised when we found out that breakfast was now included for free. Better yet, it was delicious and included fresh locally grown island fruits and coffee. Our corner window room featured stunning views of the native Ohia forest surrounding us....

We stayed here for one night at the end of our time on the Big Island. We were spending a day at the Volcano National Park both before and after sundown and we wanted to stay locally before heading to the Hilo airport at 5:30am. The place is pretty. We stayed in one of the rooms across the highway which...

Volcano Village sits at an elevation of four thousand feet and is situated in a dense and humid rain forest. We do our best to combat the effects of this environment which includes having dehumidifiers in all rooms. If we receive a complaint about mold or mildew in the air, we offer to change rooms, usually to an elevated one...
