Just wanted a place to stay when we hiked by the volcanos. Nothing special but served the purpose of being convenient. Fresh fruit and banana bread was a special touch we did not expect. Great restaurants very close.

Very nice loge with a great bed, free parking and welcome gift (banana bread and fruit). Close to Volcano park and volcano winery. Don't miss to taste the wines, I really recommend the rose and the red wine.

The cabin, Wolfie 1, was very clean and had a coffee machine and fruit basket for us with banana bread. There is a loud fan running in the attic which vibrates the ceiling in the bedroom which broke the peace and serenity. The fan did turn off for a few minutes around midnight then ran the rest of the stay....

Very glad that we decided to stay overnight at Lava Lodge. It would have been a very long day and too much driving for a one day trip from Kona. We had a great day at Volcano Park and the next day did a doors off helicopter tour from the Hilo airport. Our room was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable kingsize...

After our flight was delayed multiple times and then finally canceled, we ended up only staying one night in one of the wolfie suites. It was clean, spacious, and relaxing. Exactly what we needed after a hellish time of getting to hawaii after being delayed a day. Additionally, they were very understanding that missing one night was out of our...

Old-fashioned. Bathroom and kitchen were awful, I did not want to touch there anything. We stayed at the Sugar Mill Cottage. I recommend it just for one night. The one advantage is that it is located next to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

We stayed in the "Wolfie 1" single bedroom cottage which had a separate lounge room and bedroom. The furnishings and building look quite new and very clean. The cottage is in a tranquil rain forest area with parking directly outside the front door (Literally 3 steps to the cottage veranda. A quick 2 minute drive to the entrance of the...

Everything gets high marks except there was NO AC UNIT whatsoever. I called to at the very least get a fan but was offered nothing but the option to "open the windows". Also the bring drinking water. They provide you with some but the pump dispenser is a total joke. Takes 3-4 manual pumps to get an ounce of water.

The place was cute (a bit funky) and fairly clean and a good location for our travel around Volcanoes National Monument, but "extra" charges jacked the cost well beyond the quoted price and the house wasn't adequately supplied with basics, like toilet paper, kitchen tools and paper towels. My email expressing my concerns was ignored. The three-bedroom house was set...

Nice cabin. A bit hot but once the windows are open and it gets later it cools down. I would suggest some box fans for the guests to use. The water pump takes forever to get enough water in the tub for a bath and there was no enough hot water for my needs. The Sugar Cottage lacked a lanai...
