We cannot say enough good things about the Coconut Cottage! What a wonderful place to spend our 20th anniversary! We arrived quite late our first night there, but the owners, Todd & Jerry, had everything ready and waiting for us. We stayed in the unattached cottage, which was lovely and very comfortable with a large room, its own kitchenette, and...

These guys really know their job. They make everything they can to turn an already gorgeous place into a unique experience. The place is awesome (those frogs at night... You'll love them!), Jerry and Todd are always kind and ready to give you hints regarding where to eat, what to see... They're pretty good cooks, too: the breakfast is always...

We stayed at Coconut Cottage for 7 nights in September 2008, in The Garden Bungalow. We thought this was an amazing place to stay. The location was lovely - the B&B is set in the middle of its own lovely garden and is very close to lots of very cool things to do around Pahoa. The bungalow was super clean,...

My husband and I spent one night in the Royal Hibiscus Room at the Coconut Cottage and were highly pleased with the accommodations. The house was neat, clean, updated and nicely decorated. The landscaping was beautiful and makes for a peaceful setting. The breakfast was delicious and included a quiche dish along with fresh fruit, breads, juice and coffee. The...

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in the garden bungalow during our honeymoon. The bungalow was just lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped. At night we felt like in the middle of the jungle while little frogs sang us to sleep. We enjoyed great hospitality and delicious breakfast . If we come back one day to Big Island,...

We are fortunate to get to travel quite a bit and have stayed in a number of quality places. The Coconut Cottage tops them all. Our room (Royal Hibiscus) was exceptionally nice. Service is unbeatable; from the top notch breakfasts to the friendly tips and advice on what to do and see. We would recommend the Coconut Cottage to anyone...

My husband and I stayed in the Bali Spirit room during our 5-day stint on the Big Island. It was fantastic. The room was very well appointed with a separate entrance, private bath, plush robes, porch, super comfy bed, fridge (with complementary water and juice), complementary snacks, and wine glasses. You also have access to a washer/drier, so there's no...

I stayed at 3 B&B's during my 10 days in Hawaii and the Coconut Cottage was my favorite. I stayed in the The Royal Hibiscus Room which was quite comfortable and immaculate. I liked the sitting area and the convenience of the mini fridge (stocked with drinks and some snacks). The grounds were well maintained as well. The owners were...

My husband and I stayed at the Coconut Cottage for 2 nights ending our week long stay on the Big Island. For those 2 nights we wanted to be somewhere close to the lava viewing area, and this place certainly is that. We stayed in the Grand Pineapple room and it was nice. The owners are very pleasant and helpful...
