A truly wonderful experience. Kenny and Kilohana were amazing hosts. Full of great advice on what to do on the island. Breakfasts out of this world with locally sourced produce. We had dinner there every evening and I would highly recommend doing so. Amazing food! Rooms are beautiful. One of my favourite things to do was to sit on the...

My husband and I live on the Big Island but sought a quality inn --not a resort scene--elsewhere on the island for an anniversary get away.Trip Advisor ratings led us to Kalaekilohana Inn. We were not disappointed. A real retreat feeling at the southern Kau district of the island, a beautifully constructed property, furnishings, & grounds with lovely, comfortable Hawaiian...

If you are looking for a wonderful, low key, impeccable attention to detail, incredible food, vacation; you have found it! Kenny and Kilohana are tremendous hosts. Kenny is a top notch chef and his food blew us away. Most of the contents of the table centers are hand made by Kilohana. My wife and I stayed in the south east...

We called Kenny and Kilo Hana, the proprietors of the inn to let them know we would be a late check in. They waited for us and met us with a glass of wine which was sorely needed after a long journey from the east coast. During the entire stay, they couldn't have been more gracious. The breakfasts were "continental"...

What a wonderful three day stay with gracious and welcoming hosts! The Avocado Suite provided a comfortable respite, the food was delicious and Kenny and Kilohana provided expert advice for our daily adventures. The inn is conveniently located near the southern-most point on the island which makes it easy to tour Volcano National Park to the east on one day...

We spent two nights at Kalaekilohana, spending time visiting the local area and enjoying the hospitality of the hosts and the delicious evening meals. The house is beautiful and has lovely areas to sit and read or have a drink. Our room was very clean and spacious, with views over the surrounding countryside. It was very windy when we were...

Our gracious and low-key hosts tempted us daily with amazing, healthy and tasty locally grown breakfasts and dinners. The AMs were free, but the PMs were a mere $25 pp including house wine which is extremely reasonable. The service was always 5-star and they provided great conversation if we wanted to review our day's plans or what we did. They...

Echoing all the previous excellent reviews, my wife and I had an amazing stay. Kenny and Kilohana took care of us from start to finish. The dinner, breakfasts, and recommendations were perfect. We left so relaxed that we left all of our luggage. They went above and beyond and drove to us to return our belongings. You wouldn't find that...
