Tucked away in a beautifully secluded area on the north side of the big island, this B & B is truly a gem. The grounds are lush and well tended. The inside of the B & B is stunningly beautiful. The staff know how to make guests feel welcome; everyone was warm, generous, and gracious. The staff are also highly...

Eco-friendly. Off grid. Solar. Rain catchment. Beautiful common areas. Lovely people. Hot tubs. Multiple levels, sitting rooms. They have four rooms and a separate cottage. The two less expensive rooms are nice but smaller. The two more expensive are lovely and bigger. It is secluded and once there, you don't want to leave. Arrange in advance to have dinner there....

It took us 1.5hours to find Waianuhea but it was worth it. It's located in a secluded area off Honakaa - you have to drive thro an unlit single lane road surrounded by woods (not for the faint hearted lol). But once you get there, it's beautiful. Large luscious grounds, with flora and fauna everywhere. Staff are great. Randy, Sonia...

Very secluded on a huge piece of property on a hill with it's own lava tube! the B&B is way bigger than it seems from the outside. Big fireplace and couch in the sitting area, two hot tubs and an entirely different lower floor that opens up to a Koi pond. there is another section with floor to ceiling window...

Where to begin?! This place is so wonderful and unique! It's about an hour drive from Hilo airport but it's worth it! The first night we were there we arrived around 7pm to find that there was a bottle of wine, pretzels, and a fire waiting for us. The room was comfy and welcoming. We enjoyed the jacuzzi outside where...

This is a hidden treasure--it feels like you are a guest at an old friend's family estate. We were treated like royalty for 5 days by no less than 7 wonderful hosts/hostesses that called us by name(!)--we so enjoyed getting to know each and every one, from the chefs (breakfast and dinner) to the general manager (Randy) to the servers...

This was our second stay at Waianuhea, after seven years. The rooms were comfortable as ever, with fireplaces for the chill at night. The jacuzzi in the backyard was a great fun. If it is clear, you can see the observatories up on Mauna Kea. Maybe because of the solar system, we sometimes could not had enough hot water at...

This is a great spot! The attention to detail is perfect. It's a great location for touring the north end of the island or just getting some time away. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Great breakfast and cocktail hour. I'd recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a little luxury.

This was our first stay in a B&B in the US and ha do idea what to expect, but can safely say that we were not disappointed. It's a long way off the main road, up a very narrow bumpy road, so when arriving just as it was getting dark the owner offered us a light supper of salami, cheeses...

Waianuhea is one of our favorite B&Bs we have ever stayed it. One of the worst storms in years came through the area while we were staying here, and we could hardly leave the property. Usually this would drive me crazy, but at Waianuhea, it was a pleasure. They seem to have thought of everything—from their fabulous movie library to...
