So, here's the deal. This is a beautiful property who's dated decor is suitable for the location. Dated doesn't mean old, just feels like a pair of really cool 1980s sunglasses. The decor is new yet retro. I have been many properties around the globe and I can say that this property fits the motif of Hilo. "Laid back and...

So I was directed here as a result from our travel department. I subsequently booked online and as a local resideng looking though the accomodations on the Hilo side, I thought support local business and it would would be ok. This hotel is run by the Castle group. I knew the moment I checked in with the older woman at...

An aged hotel, not pricy, well maintained with smiling staff. A lovely location and a wonderful ocean view with the coconut island on the forefront. The rooms were large for today's standards! Very neat and kept that way everyday! Food served at the restaurant and the coffee shop were tasty and served with a smile. Don't miss the fish and...

Just spent a couple of days exploring Hilo, and this was a fine base from which to start. Our bay side room on an upper floor was clean, comfortable, and the view was great. We were there for one of their huge buffet dinner evenings and liked it very much. There appeared to be quite a few local families enjoying...

We made last minute reservations and had a beautiful room. The area is beautiful and the facilities were excellent. The hotel is adjacent to a beautiful park and right on the ocean. Parking is good and adequate. Staff was wonderful and friendly.

We recently stayed at the Hilo Hawaiian as part of a Hawaiian vacation. We were not expecting a resort but were expecting a hotel that marketed to tourists. We were a little surprised when we first entered the lobby to see mainly travelling business people. The hotel's Wai'olu lounge also seemed to be filled with business people. The room seemed...

This was a quick overnight for us from Oahu to see Volcano National Park. The staff were friendly and the room was decent. We had a double room (with double beds) which we weren't used to (have queen at home) and one side was next to a wall which made it difficult to get in and out of bed. Thus,...
