Stayed there one night after flying in Hilo. If you are a light sleeper, definitely avoid! It does include breakfast and is close to the restaurants, but the lack of sound insulation and AC makes it a quite unpleasant stay (and having a clogged shower stall did not help either..)

You might be discouraged by the first look of this motel; but the more you stay here the more attached you become. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it by the end of our stay. It is conveniently located and while not being an award-winning resort - provides just the adequate amount of comfort required to make your stay...

Open and airy common area and a lush garden section made this feel like true Hawai'i living. Clean and efficient room, lovely continental breakfast and nice location to downtown. Very nice hosts. Would definitely stay here again. Coqui frogs were not too too bad :)

Due to an unplanned overnight stay in Hilo while our Jeep was being repaired, we needed a place to stay. Hilo is not booming with resorts, hotels, etc. and due to high season, what few they do have are overpriced for what you get. I found this place on Trip Advisor and we decided to stop in and check it...

and a massively warm Hawaiian welcome, then look no further. The inn is run by the Love family and I have now stayed here 4 times. There lies my testimonial. The motel style rooms are surrounded by gardens and forest. This means that in the evenings you can hear crickets and frogs and an unknown quantity of other creatures. For...

We stayed in the hotel part of the facility in the only suite. It had two beds and our own bathroom. we were at the end of the building with a great view of the ocean. The grounds had very pretty plants and trees. The other people that were staying there were very nice and so were the people working...

The room is OK, but great for the price. The breakfast is awesome. Location is great. There is a nice garden with many fruit trees. A great place for couples if you want to save some money with the hotel rooms, but not a good place for families.

What a great Hostel! The rooms were cute and clean, and the price was right. Located on a beautiful property, right near the heart of downtown, yet so peaceful and quite. The staff was so inviting and kind, I honestly had a hard time leaving. Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Hilo again.

If you are after a resort experience the Wild Ginger may not be for you. Targeting the budget and more adventurous traveler Wild Ginger and its lovely staff (Merly, Al, Paul and the unstoppable Aunty {Mahalo}) cater for those of us who do not expect white sheets and tiles. But if you would like a family friendly staff and atmosphere...

This hostel/hotel located close to Hilo airport and Hilo center was our 44th stop on our trip around the word. The family room we had was comfortable enough to stay in for the night. We did not expect much more as this hotel/hostel offers rooms for relatively low prices. During the day we explored the Big Island, which is absolutely...
