I have lived in Hawaii for 8 years and have explored it extensively. Simply put the Kealakekua Bay Bed and Breakfast is head and shoulders above any I have stayed at. The chief driver behind this stellar performance is Robin, the manager. The first breakfast she prepared (and invented and perfected) was a crepe filled with Apple Banana and Coconut...

Due to a change in our travel plans we almost didn't come here but we are so glad we did! This was by far the best place we stayed during our 2 week visit to Hawaii; and what a wonderful way to end our trip! Robin, the innkeeper, was so helpful, so friendly and so accommodating! Her welcome was truly...

This property was absolutely dreamy! We arrived at about 8PM so it was dark and a lovely surprise to wake up to the amazing sounds, smells and views at this property. It was our first place to stay on a week long visit to the big island. We stayed in the suite which is on the main level as the...

Because we arrived late in the evening directly from the airport, we had no idea what to expect. We were greeted warmly by Robin and her security chief, a 7-year old gentle golden lab named Huxley, brought into an elegant, well-lit, modern house and shown our spacious, perfectly appointed room. It wasn’t until the following morning that we saw how...

Wonderful spacious B&B with just 3 luxurious rooms, multiple lanais with incredible sunset views over the ocean. Very near excellent snorkeling, kayaking, historical/cultural sites. Robin the innkeeper is very warm and welcoming, full of knowledge of local and island lore, geology, flora/fauna. She took such great care of us! Our family of 4 including 2 teen girls had a fabulous...

This B&B location is unbelievable, The views from the B&B are incredible and we walked to an amazing snorkeling beach daily. The All'i suite views were spectacular and the patio off the dining room was our favorite spot to hang out. The room was nice and the tub was fantastic. Robin was helpful and attentive. Her breakfasts were superb. I...

This bed and breakfast is the perfect island home away from home! Robin makes sure you feel like the place is your own. Her breakfasts are perfectly fresh and delicious. The ocean breeze that softly flows through the house and grounds is mixed with an energy of loving kindness that only the rare location can provide. The sunsets sitting on...

Beautiful place to stay with excellent breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed two nights here in September and had an excellent time. Robin the innkeeper was super friendly and an amazing breakfast cook. We snorkeled in the bay and enjoyed some of the excellent foods, coffees, and views in the area. Our room at the B&B was lovely and so...

This is the second time we've stayed here and it was even better than the first. I didn't think that was possible because the first time was so enjoyable. It's a lovely B&B with an amazing view of Kealakekua Bay. The entire staff made us feel right at home and Robin, our innkeeper, made our stay especially memorable with her...

You want to be near the water in Captain Cook, so that you can make your way to the memorial. This fabulous place offers a short walk to multiple places where you can rent a kayak to get there. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The most important aspect of this place are the hostesses, Robin and Maka-ala'a. My very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kealakekua Bay Bed & Breakfast and our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage are comfortable, open-air Mediterranean/Polynesian-style villas overlooking the pristine waters of Kealakekua Bay on the sunny South Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as being gently cradled behind by the majestic Pali (cliffs). Located in the heart of Kona's lush coffee country, this five-acre tropical estate is a peaceful and romantic haven, set amongst beautiful park-like gardens of fragrant flowers, colorful plants, stunning trees, and singing birds. We are only a five-minute walk from the ocean, snorkeling, and kayaking; also conveniently located with a ten-minute drive to stores and restaurants of our small mauka (up-country) communities of historical Kealakekua and Captain Cook – where the people still live a slower paced life of days gone by, as well as some of the best restaurants on the island! Our Bed and Breakfast provides our visitors with a lovingly prepared breakfast featuring local produce, while our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage does not include breakfast, it does allows our guests the convenience of a fully appointed vacation rental. ... more   less
