It's so rare to find a find a B&B that delivers on all levels for the asking price particularly in high-end vacation locations like the Big Island. Ka'awa Loa isn't inexpensive, but it delivers on every level which is fitting for a B&B in this budget range. Michael and Greg have created an amazing experience for their guests from the...

Trip was marred by headache but it was a beautiful place to hole up and ride it out. the proprietors are professional, competent and helpful. They knew where to rent a kayak, watch the Super Bowl, get lunch, get snorkeling gear, offered a spot to wash out salty swimwear and hang it to dry, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. Nice friendly...

We arrived after dark in our rental car. Detailed instructions from our hosts and GPS did not prevent us from having difficulties finding the plantation. For most people from North America, driving on the big island is a very different experience from what we're used to. There are wide roads in Hawaii but there are also very narrow, steep, and...

I admit, I've reviewed this fabulous place before! I am such a big fan, though, that I thought I would report that it is still as wonderful as it was when we first stayed there two years ago. Greg and Michael are the best hosts: charming, funny, helpful, and kind but never intrusive. Coming down to a delicious breakfast every...

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B (5 nights) in December 2011. Based upon our travel preferences, I located this property on the internet and began to investigate. It did not take long to realize it would fit our needs perfectly as it offered great lodging choices, a hot breakfast filled with variety, was a bit off...

We stayed here for one night and loved the setting. The lanai is gorgeous with a great view of the water in the distance. There are also lots of fruit trees and bushes on the property making it really a plantation. The breakfast was great: fresh fruit, bread (including taro bread) and coffee. All the fruits are grown by the...

My husband and I stayed with Greg and Michael in October as the first leg of our 25th anniversary trip to Hawaii. The place is amazing. The hosts are well prepared, welcoming, accommodating and so very kind. We stayed in the little cottage and it was lovely. It was a very short walk over to the big verandah for a...
