Friends from Germany stayed here. A week before their scheduled arrival we stopped by to see the place, much to my surprise the owner allowed us to go into an occupied room to look around. The occupants weren't there which made no difference we went...More

Dear Katrina, thank you for your comment. I learned 15 years ago when we started the B&B that you simply can't please all the people all the time. Not possible. This June we're in Asia working as volunteers with disadvantaged children and have brought in...More
We stayed three night in November 2017 to discover the Captain Cook area, we could have stayed a whole week had we had enough time because this place is a real gem and could easily be qualified as our best accommodation of our whole 3...More
I stayed in the crows nest and found it most comfortable and very private. The room included a walk-in closet with a refrigerator and a large south facing deck that overlooked the coffee plantation and ocean in the distance. While there folks from Russia, Germany...More

So sorry not to have seen your question earlier. I suppose that now your trip to the Big Island is a thing of the past. Let me answer anyway -- Hapuna Beach Park is a very fine sandy beach well north of where we live (approx 45 minute drive). Very close to us are two of the finest snorkeling spots in Hawaii -- Kealakekua Bay and Two Step. Sending best wishes, Kurt

"Picked the Crows Nest. I was the most private, located on the upper level."
