We love trying out different hot springs. This is a great little gem if you can look past a few things. The new owners are taking an older property and trying to get it up to speed, the property has been here for decades, and...More
Stayed 1 night. Place is very run down and need of repair and painting.

We used to come here years ago. We enjoyed the pool and the grassy areas and a fun time was had by all. This past month we were in town again and decided to spend the night, we were quite disappointed. From the slimy pool...More
We found the Fountain of Youth RV Park very relaxing. Yes, it does need some work however, the owners are very pleasant and are trying hard to bring it up to a better standard. They’ve only owned it a year and there’s a lot of...More

When I went several years ago the price for my very small camper and 3 adults was $40. We all embraced the fact that this place is a natural hot spring environment therefore there will be an odor, not always. The facilities are dated but the surrounding hills, the ride in from route 20, the staff, the Camp shows on the stage at night, the other campers all added to an experience that screams of 1950’s and for that I very much enjoyed this place. My expectations are usually low since I’m camping of course. This is a place where you can shed pretensions and you have to do some things yourself. Overall, when you consider how well the pools have been arranged, the constant flow of the pools to keep them fresh and the safety of the pools this is a pretty good deal. I’ve been to hot springs that were in their natural state and there was jeopardy of getting in too deep and hurting yourself.
I highly recommend Fountain of Youth because of it’s corniness above all and it is just another of the many adventures on your vacation that will be with you the rest of your life, a good story to tell. As many of you already know, many things you experience while camping are much better when the season is over and you’re talking about it over Thanksgiving dinner. Go off the beaten path and savor the slow pace of getting to and from Fountain of Youth and then continue on your trip knowing you have stepped back in time.
Happy trails campers,
