Thermopolis was beautiful. We stayed in the Paintbrush Inn 2 nights. The rooms were clean and so cozy, the bed was comfy. The rooms had the best kitchenette I've seen. They were stocked with dishes and all supplies needed. The people were so nice. We loved it! Thank you Colette & Robert, we will be back.

This is by far the tackiest place I have ever seen. There are notes taped all over the place as if it was being rented to a child. Beds were not comfortable, sheets were not white but more yellowed. everything in the room had hte paintbrush inn sewn into it or marked with nail polish. Old, out of date. Electric... More

Prior to checking in time, I observed the owner dragging the sheets across the parking lot. Not to mention almost hitting the moron as she darted across the street in her electric wheelchair. Go to the elk antler. They actually clean the rooms and albeit they don't have in room coffee there is good coffee and breakfast at Maverik next... More

Went to check in, owner informed me I woke her up from a nap, then they had given our room to someone else. They had me sign a receipt that was $25 cheaper than what I paid on the internet. Our room had one bed and a futon, we had requested two queen beds. The floor in front of the "bathroom"... More

Being in the military, I have stayed in some less than desirable places. This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It was just missing cockroaches. The first room they had us in, was dirty with old food, dirty towels and the shower would not drain. The staff did not see a problem with any of that.... More

Often unexpected (an elk painted on the toilet lid!) and always unique, each room at the Paint Brush has its own style and decor. The rooms were simple (I stayed there one night on my way to Yellowstone and one night on the return trip), but they were inexpensive, clean and in good repair. As the room was a little... More

How often to you find yourself in a room that had its own personality? Not often, this is the second for self and my fiancé. We were in room 17, a handicap room but only because we were pulling a boat (yep, in a snow storm, with slick roads and winds), to Douglas and seeing the need for extra parking... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night and had a pleasant experience. The lady that works there is very nice and accomodating. There's nobody in the office all the time, but it wasn't a big deal for us. The room was large. They allowed us to check out past the regular time. The room was very modestly priced.

This place is a dump. Called to make a reservation for a late arrival, could not get them on the phone when I pulled into town, at dark. That should have been my first clue. Then, written on a piece of paper, just sitting on the front desk, along with piles of papers and books was my name, credit card... More
