I was looking for a riding vacation for my daughter and I before she heads off to medical school and wanted a place with excellent horses, cattle work, and breathtaking scenery. My research led me to The Hideout and I have to say this is...More
The owners have created the nicest environment for their guests. The operation is run safely and the stock is taken care of in the best possible way. The accommodations are very nice and the entire operation, from the guest rooms to the barn, is spotless....More
The facilities, the food but mostly the people make this an unforgettable week. They truly love their work and their horses. I couldn't imagine anything that I would change. In the dining room they accommodated people who were gluten intolerant, pescatarians......I didn't even know there...More
This was my first visit to a Guest Ranch and thus first visit to The Hideout. Simply fantastic. They treat their animals and their guests very well, and to a person, have a customer-oriented approach to the experience. With the small number of guests, it...More

I was there in May/June this year and would concur with all the above. There were also deer and fawn around the casita. Let the wonderful Peter and Marijn know what you want and I am sure that they will help.

Hello and thank you for your interest in our ranch. We do have several testimonials on there of families and multi-generational travelers. However we have a minimum age of 7 years old and reqiure the parents to ride and enjoy activities together with the children because this is a great bonding experience. That is why we do not have a kids program. it is also why the families that vacation here choose The Hideout.
But that is just how we operate our experience because it is the way we ourselves and all our staff who have families travel.
Let us know if you have more questions. Again thank you for your interest in The Hideout and allowing us to explain how we operate.

Thank you for your question about our accommodations. We have five duplex cabins each with two completely separate rooms. One room has a king bed and sitting area and the other room has two double beds. The only thing the rooms share is a porch. Of course each of the rooms has a full bath and are quite spacious and decorated in an upscale Western manner.
We also have our Casita which is a building with four separate newly remodeled rooms. The two rooms upstairs have a king bedroom, small living room and kitchen. The two rooms downstairs have a king room with sitting area and a separate queen bedrooms. Each of the Casita units have their own bathroom and washer/dryer unit.
If you Google The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch and go to our website, we have a very extensive description of what is included in each of the rooms along with pictures and videos of all our units. While there, you can also make a request for reservation or contact us with questions. I look forward to hearing from you - Rebecca Bercher, Hideout Office Manager
