Spent a pleasant night at Gannet Peak Lodge as we headed south from Pinedale. The room was spotless and comfy and the management helpful and friendly.. It would be helpful if an ice machine was available....fridge did have one ice tray. Overall, a pleasant experience....will stay there again next time we head that way!
Clean, comfortable, convenient. Owner gave me his cell # in case of problems! There were none. MUCH better experience than we had trying to secure a room at one of the national chains. Owner answered the phone, gave options, directions and met us at arrival.
I love to fly fish and Pinedale is a great hub for accessing various sections of the Green River. The Green is a bucket list river for many fly fishers and Pinedale offers enough fun post-fishing dining/cold beer options to make for a pleasant place to stop for the evening. In my lodging search, I came across Gannett Peak Lodge and saw that it had very good reviews. It is located a block off the main road so while it is quiet, it is also walkable to lots of dining experiences. The room rate was very reasonable which gave me pause. I have been in the resort business for nearly 40 years and you usually get what you pay for. But, I was there to fish and if it was a little rustic, what the heck? As it turns out, I loved my room! It was instantly clear to me that great care has been given in not only the condition and placement of furnishings in the room but also the cleanliness. I am older and concerned about travelling during a health crisis. As it turns out, I could clearly see that the room was very clean which helped me relax a bit. The bed was comfortable, the carpet looked new, the night stands looked fresh as did the lamps. Plugs were easy to find and there was a nice sized fridge. Little things like a designated cloth to remove make-up or wipe off boots etc rather than a less sustainable throw away paper cleaner and very good pre-loaded coffee in the coffee maker are signs that Gannett Peak Lodge cares both for the guest experience as well as the environment which I came to enjoy. It is very clear to me that Gannett Peak Lodge is making a sincere effort to provide quality hospitality by paying attention to details and by working hard. I look forward to staying there again on my next trip!…
We booked the lodge as a stop before arriving to our camping spot in West Yellowstone. We drove here from Colorado. Perfect place. We were able to park our camper and truck on the street and all was safe. We sat outside on chairs and enjoyed the beautiful flowers and visited with the owner. I highly recommend this lodge. Also, close to dining places (we walked), clean and comfortable.
very quiet, close walk to the grocery store or to some of the best home made food in town, bed was great. There is a fan to move air, as with the window open there was not a cross breeze possible, but other than that the coffee was handy and all was very clean. Would plan to stay again if in Pinedale..
