Just to get this out of the way first - the system for getting a campsite anywhere inside Grand Tetons NP is AWFUL! So expect to be angry, stressed, and generally feel like either a stalker or a jerk or both trying to find a spot, especially in the Summer! (hence the 4 stars) Once you recover from the forced...

We spent 3 nights in the Signal Mountain Campground and really liked it. As others mentioned, the sites are tight, even with a small trailer. We had an electric hook-up. There are only a few sites with full hook-ups (maybe only one). There is a length limit, which some people seem to have ignored, as there were some big rigs...

We stayed in the section of the campground that had electric hookups. Out of maybe 85 camp sites, only a few have electricity. The campground is kind of crowded, with narrow roads and short spaces. Difficult moving around if someone is just arriving, or a huge 5th wheel is hanging out in the road. Spaces pretty close together, but there...

This was our 4th NPS campground in our 2 week trip. The location is beautiful but is marred by the needlessly chaotic checkin process (mentioned by others)and the Spartan bathroom facilities - EVERY other campground provided soap and either dryers or papertowel. Add to that a faulty toliet with flushing issues and an RV neighbor running their generator all night...

I have camped three times in Grand Teton National Park. I've tent camped in three locations, Coulter Bay, Jackson Lake and then Signal Mountain. Signal Mountain is by far my favorite and here is why. The campground is walking distance to the kiosk to pay but better yet, it is also right on Lake Jackson. I walked right to the...

We originally planned to stay at Signal Mtn for two nights to experience Grand Teton and then find another campground in Yellowstone. We quickly changed our minds and extended out stay to avoid the hassle of breaking camp and then finding a new site. Signal Mtn's central location made it easy to "commute" to Yellowstone as well as to Jackson...

We had reserved an RV spot on Colter Bay, but due to mechanical issues, ended up tent camping. Jenny Lake had been recommended but was full, so we ended up at Signal Mountain. I just can't express how beautiful it was! The sites can be smallish, most with pads, but the campground has enough trees that privacy was not an...

1. No reservations, get there before 9am. We arrived at 9:40 and had to drive around to find a spot. We wanted a tent only, but none were available, so tagged an electric site for 47 bucks, spot 33. Close to laundry/shower facility. Electric ended up coming in handy because we could charge our phones, cameras and laptop. 2. The...

We got to the Park around 11 and got the last camp site. The sites are not uniform, and some take some creative thinking to determine where the tent goes, since not all sites have a tent pad. No showers and the bathrooms and not exactly clean. You have to haul your water to wash dishes the camp sink is...

We tried to get into Jenny Lake Campground but it was full by 9:00am! We drove a few miles down the road to Signal Mountain and were pleasantly surprised. The campground is quiet and has an entire loop with no generators allowed. Access to the water is within walking distance and the beach is very rocky but swimmer friendly. Newly...
