The craftsmanship of the restoration of this facility is great. The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds and quiet, well appointed rooms. The staff has thought of everything. The food was outstanding. Will certainly return. Great value for the money. Staff cares a lot and is very helpful.

Thanks Tommy, glad you enjoyed your stay, but think you made a typing error as you were in room 11 not 1. The Evans Suite (11), is the only room with a Jacuzzi Tub. Room 1 is equipped with bath and shower, but no Jacuzzi. I will share your comments with my staff and especially my cleaning staff that does...

My husband and I had traveled since 3:00 AM ET when we arrived at this lovely hotel. Susan, and her husband Art, greeted us at the door themselves and had us feeling very at home by the time we found our room (The Bridger room, not hard to find, there were just so many lovely things to look at). The...

Thanks Susan for your kind remarks. My staff really appreciate the feedback as they all work hard to make your stay as perfect as possible even if you do not get to meet them. Although we are owner operators, we are not the whole team.

Susan Prescott-Havers and her husband Arthur are marvelous hosts. They have owned the hotel for 10 years and seek to make every guest comfortable in a setting dating from 1905. In a nod to the past, the upstairs halls are decorated with posters advertising past events at the hotel such as Les Brown and his Band of Renown. A delightful...

Clean, beautiful historic inn. Was the perfect get away. Absolutely beautiful. Comfortable beds, really clean everywhere, no dust, not one issue with lodging. No television, which was a refreshing thing.

The bullet holes in the road sign - 2 miles from the hotel - are no indication of the fabulous place you are about to find! The whole Inn is just so inviting with a really warm welcome from the owners, In the lobby is a huge Bison head - Lucky. He keeps an eye on things. There is a...

Elk Mountain has a tiny population and is perfectly located on the road between Denver and Yellowstone National Park. What a brilliant place to stop, with the most divine breakfast and dinner available - cordon bleu trained chef and owner. It was a real treat to stay here.

Thank you for your kind remarks that I will share with my staff because it is a team effort and they do not always get the feedback. Thank you also for letting us know that our efforts are appreciated, it is what makes the job worthwhile. Susan H. Innkeeper

I accidentally found this hotel while looking for someplace in the area to stay, so we could explore the mountains. We had such a wonderful time, the food was excellent our room was wonderful, such a relaxing and comfortable place for couples for sure! Susan & Arthur made our anniversary extra special and we can't wait to go back!

To start off – everything was absolutely perfect! The B&B is situated in the town of Elk Mountian, pop. approximately 200. There are a few houses which testify to the fact that people truly live in the community, but we saw no one and the post office and library (yes, there is one) were closed. The tiny church did not...

Vielen Dank! It was great to meet you both and practice a little of my rusty German. Hope we get the chance to see you again someday, but anyway, glad we were able to make your stay memorable. Chef Susan

We had a great experience staying at the Historic Elk Mountain hotel. The hospitality was superb and the food at the restaurant was of high quality. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very clean. One note - there are no services in the town. No grocery store, no local bar or cafe. Be prepared for the quiet solitude...

Thanks for your kind remarks Haley. There is no bar, although the hotel has a full license so you can have a drink anywhere on the hotel premises. Although we do not have shops, there is a supermarket in Hanna which is about 14 miles away (next door by Wyoming standards) and there is a café, but it is only...

My wife and I were taking an 11 day drive around the country for my 50th birthday. Since I made her spend the night in a TiPi up by Devils Tower, I thought she could use some pampering and spoiling. I booked the Fremont Suite at the Historic Elk Mountain Hotel. The room FAR exceeded our expectations! It was my...
