The KOA park is just outside the town of Cody, away from the congestion and traffic. The sites are small for RV's and they do have Electric, Water hook ups on site. The staff are fabulous and go out of their way to make you...More
The campground is run down and worn down. The laundry room and machines dirty. Grounds dirty. Very dusty, Adults stay at the Ponerosa in Cody is my suggestion. Deluxe spots by highway and the pool is not deluxe.
Nice, typical KOA. We stay in Kamping Kabins routinely on road trips, as it's faster than tenting, and cheaper than hotels. This KOA has free pancakes, free bowling, jumping pillow, cornhole, giant chess, and a decent pool/hot tub. They also have a free shuttle to...More
Our initial encounter should have been a clue to look elsewhere. The young girl checking us in was so very rude and snotty. We should have just asked her to forget it and to give us our money back. Why should you give money to...More
Our family of five vacationed to the Cody/Yellowstone area and stayed at this KOA for 4 days, and we hated to leave. Our kids had a great time, there was a free pancake breakfast every morning, wonderful pool area and jumping slide. Definitely recommend this...More
How big are the actual 30 amp RV Sites? Do you think a person has enough room realistically to put up a 8 person tent on the site for you kids to sleep in? Just wondering if we need to purchase a tent site in addition to the RV site or possibly a deluxe site. I am told though that the deluxe sites though are all gravel. Does anyone know the answer to this at the Cody, WY campground who has camped there before?

I stayed in a tent site there. They are gravel. However, there were some RV spots right across from me, and the owners were really nice and accommodating, so I'm sure they would be willing to try to work with you on this.
