Highly recommended! My family and I ended our four-state western trip in Cody, Wyoming, and we could not have done better than to have ended our vacation in Buffalo Bill's historic Irma Hotel. The "historic" room we reserved was well worth the few extra dollars that it cost. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with period-style furniture, some of...

Cody Wyoming is named for William Cody, he wasn't born there but he was raised there. He built the Irma Hotel which is still standing with a few modifications but the actual hotel is still intact. He established two rooms for himself on the top floor, one he used for his office and another room down the hall was his...

The Irma is right downtown on the main street and convenient to everything, and only about and hour drive from Yellowstone. We love old hotels. This one was built by Buffalo Bill in the 1890's. Somewhat updated, but still has that old hotel charm and quirkiness. Excellent food in the dining room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely...

My experience of the Irma was very positive, overall. It's not the Four Seasons, but it has charm and definitely takes you back to the early 20th century. The furnishings are lovely and look authentically anitque. Rooms were clean and all were a little different. I highly recommend the Irma Suite. We were told it's haunted but never encountered a...

I don't know what was the most fun; the century-old bedroom set or the wall mounted toilet tank that flushed via brass chain. Our room was large, airy due to the huge windows, and the new carpet and wallpaper were so period that they could have been new old stock from 1910. Yet, the TV was flat screen (tastefully hidden...

All I can say about this place is WOW!! Excellent food, great wait staff, awesome western decor, and most of all, the thought left in your mind when you leave. This was Buffalo Bill's Hotel and he once walked these halls. I was blown away by the bar given to him as a gift from Queen Victoria of England!! CAN...

It took a little while to check in as the person was on the phone with a personal call. She wasn't concerned we couldn't find a place to park. We ate in the dinning room and had to wait about 15 minutes to have someone help us. There was ambiance but just poor service.

We chose to stay in Cody on our way to Yellowstone primarily because we have a grandson named Cody. I didn't expect much from either the hotel nor the town. Boy was I wrong. The Irma hotel is a real delight. It has large comfortable rooms that have been renovated yet have not lost there original western feel. We stayed...

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully you can make another trip to Cody and spend a little more time to enjoy our little town. Thank you for your review.

Understand that you are paying a premium for the excellent main street location and historical cachet. Otherwise the hotel lacks usual conveniences: no refrigerator/microwave, hard to get ice, A/C controls nearly inaccessible, breakfast not included. WiFi OK. Parking good. We stayed in the "modern" wing; the historical rooms might be better (and more expensive).
