Stayed here on our way to Yellowstone. Quick overnight in Cheyenne. We've stayed in a number of historic hotels and understand that they can be quirky. Getting stuck in the original elevator wasn't a big deal (we used the stairs from that point on) but the traffic on the street below was very loud all night long to the point...

This was my one and only stay at this hotel. I can not believe the health department has not stepped in and closed it down. The room was filthy. The towels looked like rags....stained and tattered. The carpet was stained and pieced together. I would not even take my shoes off. The air conditioner had parts missing and looked as...

This was one of the only hotels that had a room available when I was travelling, so I hoped for the best. Well, won't dispute that the hotel has character. It is definitely historic in every sense. Down to the musty smell that permeates the lobby, hallway and rooms. The room was very small and dingy. I can't imagine when...

The history of the hotel is fascinating! I spent one night here. We were greeted with cookies and lemonade which was very welcome! My room was very nice and spacious. The hotel could use a little face lift and the one elevator is quite small and very slow. I was with a large crowd and The restaurant was painfully understaffed....

I have been staying at the Plains off and on for 26 years and have experienced its ups and downs. I will not stay in the future. The linens are disgraceful and upon rising in the morning I found that the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. There was blood under one of the pillows. I was...

My husband and I stayed at this property several years ago, and had such fond memories that we wanted to stay here again. This property has such a historic feel - I definitely got the sense of being in the west - and I mean that in a most positive way! Scott at the front desk was a very friendly...

This is honestly a rather dated hotel, but it is full of interest. It is well situated in the centre of town beside the Depot museum, and there's lots of free street parking right outside. It was built about 1920 and has seen very smart gatherings in its time. The lobby has the original floor tiles, and the atmosphere is...

We stayed here recently and we'd give it three stars. Some people who are into classic hotels from by-gone times, especially old railroad hotels might give it a 4. Does have a cool old lobby. Other folks who prefer newer hotels would find it old, dated and a bit worn and frayed. If you do stay, a room toward the...
