Our family stayed at Coon's over Labor Day Weekend 2016 and loved every aspect of our visit. We spent the days enjoying the beautiful lake - water skiing, tubing, swimming, and exploring on SUPs and kayaks. Young kids from different families played together at the waterfront and in the main lodge. After all day outside it was time to clean...

Our family has been coming here for over 60 years. Comfortable cabins with full service amenities including daily housekeeping, stocked fire place, and daily ice delivery. Exceptional American plan food served in resort dining room 3 meals a day. Relaxing family vacation in July and 3-day business retreat in September. Treated like Ritz Carleton of the North Woods. Tennis, fishing,...

Friends of ours have been coming here for many years and rave about it so we decided to visit with them. We loved it!! Amazing location on Trout Lake, fantastic service, superb food. Cabins are full of rustic charm. I can understand why families go back year after year.

We were very fortunate to plan our daughter's Wedding at the beautiful Coons Franklin Lodge. My daughter planned a 3 day extravaganza for her wedding and we had 82 guests that filled the rustic but beautiful cabins, some of which had been build in the late 19th Century. A family business, the owners take pride in providing excellence in all...

This place is so comfortable and homey. Tennis rackets, dining room (meals included), lodge all on site... Trout Lake is known for its fishing and there it is right there. They have canoes, sail boats, someone to pull you water skiing. You can take long walks through the beautiful woods. Each cabin has a really nice screened in porch and...

Had the pleasure of visiting a guest a couple weeks ago, and spent the evening enjoying the beauty that is Coon's Franklin Lodge. The grounds and scenery are spectacular, rivaling anything Canada has to offer. The food was outstanding - as good as any "outside" restaurant in the area. The lodge is incredible, with history going back over 120 years....

Starting with the basics, their property is awesome. They have a mile of lakefront in an area where lakefront is still sold by the foot. There are 20-something cabins that are well cared for, but still very historic— a great nod to the family’s 120 year history on the place. Many of the cabins are over 100 years old, but...

I grew up on this lake every summer and now i take my family here. It is truly one of the most beautiful places you can go. The cabins are rustic but very cozy and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and just like home. Every day new wood and kindling is delivered along with fresh ice for your cooler. The...

My wife and I traveled to Manitowish Waters for a friends wedding. Coon's Franklin Lodge came highly recommended by friends who grew up spending their summers in Manitowish. This place is incredible. All guests get their own rustic yet super comfortable log cabins with 4 star hotel style beds. The bathrooms are clean, spacious and modern (for a log cabin!)....
