I have to admit, the owners of this 1950's era motel are friendly and smiling, but very little else is right about this run-down property. The most objectionable issue was the poor quality flop-house squeeky beds and sunken mattresses. They were simply an insult considering the price of the room. Secondly, the place has no air conditioning, wifi, or TV....

This was the most relaxing family vacation we have ever taken. The Dor Cros Inn was the perfect place to stay for our family. Laura and Cory were exceptional hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the "loft". It was the perfect fit for our family. We had everything we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. The nice...

Cory greeted us warmly and we snuggled into our 1 room and a shower cabin. I loved not having a TV and the nightly campfire was fun. Good to meet new people. The windmill restaurant was just a few steps away and the food & coffee was terrific. A great place to get away. Cory also suggested a super place...

I absolutely loved staying here! Our cabin was the cutest little thing I ever seen! It was exactly what we needed considering we wouldn't be staying indoors much. I loved that we were provided with a campfire and wood! There were also plenty of other amenities that really made me feel like I got my money's worth. The location was...

My wife and I made our second trip to Washington Island since 2012. In the fours years since our first visit, we had often thought about going back, but life events have a way of limiting choices—until this year. For us, because of Cory and Laura, our visit to Washington Island and staying at the Dor Cross Inn were inseparable....

We stayed here for work on the island for 10 days. The cottage/room we had was a little small, for both us and our equipment, but the innkeeper noticed this and rearranged reservations for us so we could move to a bigger room for the duration of our stay. That second room was quite nice! At one point in the...

We were so happy to come across Dor Cros! We had our Bassett Hound with us, and thought it would be fun to stay over night. We stopped at 2 other places, that said they allowed pets, but they "did not have a room". One of the places recommended here. Cory said yes, they allowed dogs, and asked our dogs...

If you stay at Dor Cros, bikes are included for no extra charge. However, we were staying here for ten stays with family and needed basic transportation to get around the island. After looking at other options, the clear (and economic) choice was Dor Cros. The bikes are cruisers (with a few years on them, no gears and back brakes)...

My adult son and I spent three nights at Dor Cross Inn and everything about our stay was fantastic! Loved the location on the island. Top that off with friendly hosts, simple and cozy lodging, a huge yard for our dog to enjoy, free bikes and nightly campfires and it just couldn't get any better. Highly recommend if you're looking...

The bed needs to be replaced badly! When you sit on it, it literally sinks. The blankets and sheets are equally as bad. The dark paneling and bad lamps make for a very dark room at night. I tried to read and work on some hand sewing, could not see at all to sew, even with all the lights on....
