For everyone who's tired of chain hotels that all look the same, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The retro decor is charming and fun and permeates the whole place. The rooms are simple and clean and comfortable. We stayed on the second floor and enjoyed a quiet nights sleep. There are some local and good restaurants and shops within a one...

The Hotel has a theme of the holidays that is evident from the Christmas tree in the lobby. While it took a little time to get used to the "old 1950's decor", it eventually it gets to you and makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. The staff were great and very pleasant but the only downfall...

Tired of staying in boring and generic chains? This is an older hotel that has been renovated in a fun 50s style. Clean and comfortable, upscale bedding, cool retro furniture that gives each room a bit of a movie-set feel. Very nice personnel. We thought the breakfast had plenty of variety and enjoyed the tiny self-service "diner" setting. Within walking...

My husband and I stayed here after reading the positive reviews online and we were so glad we did! Everything about it was so fun and such a nice change from the usual hotels! Linda at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! The room was super clean, and we couldn't wait to get up in the morning to...

Yep, the rooms are smallish, the breakfast is minimalist and yes indeed, the hallway has a musty odor. Get over it! If you are looking to soak in the hot tub sipping fruity booze drinks with clever names, go somewhere else (and be prepared to open your wallet). The HMM is very reasonably priced, flexible with bookings, impeccably clean and...

Super cute room with Simmons furniture. The room was impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and of obvious high quality. Excellent location for exploring Door County. There was a small fire in the fire-pit every evening to lounge by after a day of walking. We will stay again!

With no previous knowledge of Door County, I booked a room in this motel for a "Girls' Sightseeing Adventure". So glad I did! Décor is mid-century modern vintage so don't expect large rooms, big TVs, glamorous bathrooms or expansive breakfasts. You will get a small, super clean room, small TV, small frig, and plenty of hot water for a great...

We used to live in Sturgeon Bay, and we watched when this motel was being restored. So what a treat to actually stay there and to see what they've done with the place! We spent the night at this motel right after the Steel Bridge Festival, so I figured things might be a little disorganized. I was wrong. Everything was...

What a fun little quirky motel in Sturgeon Bay. We recently stayed there one night on our way up to Ephraim. The room was very basic and met our needs. Being an older building I thought we would hear noise between the rooms. We only heard a little creaking in the floor from the people above us, but it was minor....

We had a weekend getaway from Chicago and chose to come up to Door County. When I searched for a place to stay, nearly every room was booked at every hotel. We really wanted to stay at Holiday Music Motel based on the many reviews we read, and because we have a sixteen year old who loves everything retro. I...
