Had the privilege of staying at Robertson's Cottages in October. Had a beautiful view of Sawyer Bay to wake up to each morning. Very peaceful setting, fire pit, sandy beach area, pontoon boat rental and use of rowboats available. We stayed in the Harbor Home which was so quaint, filled with artifacts and antiques. We had everything we needed and... More

This is exactly what you expect when you imagine a cottage in Door County. Quaint, quiet and all the basics you'll need for your stay. We rented the "Sunrise", one of 2 cottages on the island. We appreciated the solitude of staying on the island. The views were spectacular and the people were as charming as the cottages themselves. We... More

I have been visiting Robertson's Cottages nearly every summer for the last 40 years. The cottages are rustic, housekeeping cottages that have a very homey feel and the owners are wonderful hosts. Recently, I have been staying at the island cottage called Sunrise. It is surrounded by water on three sides and the other side is woodsy. The sunrises can... More

We love this place! If you are looking for a cool place that has a cottage feel- then this is the place. If you are looking for a five star hotel- then scoot on down the road where you will pay triple of what Robertsons charge. The owners go out of their way to make your stay fun and relaxing.... More

After several considerations I decided on the Sunset Cottage on The Island. Since this was a multi generation family trip I needed a cottage that allowed for my particular needs of a 68 yr old woman with some physical concerns; 2 grandchildren, 8 and 6 yr old; and my adult son (my husband, daughter, and teenage grandson were coming also).... My husband and I spent a week at the end of August in Edgewood Cabin. We had a screened in porch very close to the lake. Sitting there in a rocking chair with a rum and coke watching the beauty of the lake and the trees was breathtaking. I could have done that all week, but of course we wanted... More

If you like the outdoor lake style vacation, this is the perfect getaway. Our extended family of 10 (14 if you count our dogs), just spent a week on the island. We rented both the sunrise and sunset cottages and had a ball. Who knew we could afford to rent an island for a week?? Our group included a set... More

We had a wonderful stay here! It is like stepping back in time. I felt like I was on a movie set for a Nicholas Sparks movie. The owners are on hand for anything you may need. The view is amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

Cons: If any of these things bother you greatly, this is not the place for you: Dogs and dog poop, birds and bird poop, dust, dirt, mold, mildew, pollen, spiders (and I mean they are EVERYWHERE), sand flies, bugs of all kind, run down or exposed electrical work, doors that may not shut or lock, beds that have old dirty... my adult son and I stayed at this cottage for the week end and just loved it. We were looking for quiet and seclusion and found it on the small island that has two cottages that the Robertson's rent out, each of the cottages are on opposite ends of the Island. Our cottage was homey and comfortable, somewhere that we... More
