This must be one of the loveliest parks in the nation. That said, it comes with no cable, no wifi, and unlevel sites. The kicker is that although it's far from main roads, it's very expensive and the train comes by twice each night. Lovely pool and mini golf.

We called for a last minute reservation and were told to come right in. We pulled in to one of the most picturesque campgrounds. The grounds are stunning, like camping on a golf course. We were only there for 3 nights but I could have stayed longer. The sites were gravel, level and extremely spacious. We had site #19. 50... More

Stayed only one night, but got the kayaks down and paddled the Yakara River, well a little of it. Algae growth all over it and shallow with tons of water plants. Not attractive. Nice early evening paddle though , light breeze. Campground is well cared for, family fun stuff_ pool, mini golf, lots of room to run and play- or... More

Stayed one night in Stoughton Wisconsin at Viking village campground. It is beautifully maintained with wide-open lawns for kids to play on in the swimming pool that looked like fun although we didn't try it. They also have horseshoes and miniature golf on site. We enjoyed seeing two Sandhill Crane's at the edge of the campground. Driving into the campground... More

They are priced why high offering no internet, not very friendly or helpful, not close to much of any real interest. Travel on and find something better for your money. Now if U have to stay here the upside it is clean and quite.

I stayed at this resort for 5 days without a problem; on Day 6, a few "bigger" coaches moved in and my power kept getting shut off due to "Low Voltage." (103 Volts.) Luckily, my PT50C disabled power from the pedestal to the coach so my electronics wouldn't be damaged. I went to the check-in desk to make them aware;... More

The campground is clean and well-kept. It does seem overpriced for the lack of amenities. Sites are gravel and fairly level. The campgrouond does sit back off a highway but noise was minimal next to the cornfield. The manager is definitely lacking in social skills as another reviewer mentioned. Not quite sure how they stay in business considering how it... More

This is likely the best the area has to offer. Park like setting just off a busy road, but you will not be bothered by it. About 1/3 seasonal sites with several park models but they are not an issue. They claim it is a resort, but all they have is a pool (nice) and a pavilion - oh yes... More

We stayed at Viking Village for 3 nights in June. I called and made a reservation then several weeks later learned that they had not documented my reservation. I called back and went through the reservation process again. When we got there the clerk said two nights right? Had to tell them a third time what dates we were staying.... More

We have stayed here the last five summers and would not stay anywhere else. It's not the usual high energy environment of most RV resorts and campgrounds. Rather, you are surrounded by lush green lawn, peace and quiet, while still close to shopping and activities in a small town south of Madison. Grounds and facilities are very clean, including pool,... More
