My friend and I (two women in their 50s) escaped teaching and families to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's estate Taliesin and enjoy the Fall Art Tour in the area of Spring Green, WI. We decided to stay in a bed and breakfast and chose Hill Street B & B because of the positive ratings on TA; and, once again, the...

I spent a very enjoyable weeekend here while in Spring Green to tour Taliesin. The house is absolutely charming, breakfast was delightful and Kelly & Jay are great hosts. It was also a real pleasure chatting with them about Frank Lloyd Wright - they are both very knowledgable and interested in the subject and they have many interesting books and...

We found the Hill Street Bed and Breakfast to be a relaxing escape for us. We usually stay in a hotel while attending the APT performances, but the pickings are slim in Spring Green - so we thought we give Hill Street a try. We will be back! Gorgeous home, clean and beautiful rooms, and a delicious breakfast. We felt...

Like a home away from home- with the best innkeepers. Lent us blankets for the Shakespeare Theatre - when it was so cold and recommended the Bach concert in the Taliesin Hillside Theater- and even drove us with her! Close to town and Frank Lloyd attractions in a residential neighborhood.

We have just returned from our 4th yearly visit to Spring Green and the Hill Street B & B. We travel alot and find that the innkeepers make a big difference in our overall impression. You will NOT find better Innkeepers than Kelly and Jay. They know all the attractions in the area, and can help you fill a rainy...

Kelly and Jay are the perfect hosts. We have stayed at this bed and breakfast every year for ten years. It is always a pleasure to visit with Kelly and Jay and soak up their extensive knowledge about Spring Green and the American Players Theater. Kelly is a terrific cook and the breakfasts are wonderful. We would not stay anywhere...

Each summer since 2002 we've stayed at Hill Street B & B (in the same room) for one night while attending a play at American Players Theater, sometimes alone, some trips with relatives. That should tell the story (we'd never have gone back or brought family if it weren't first rate). This is a more or less classic Victorian b...

This B&B was quiet, with spacious rooms and a tasty breakfast. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening. The woodwork in the common areas is beautiful. We felt welcomed by our host and enjoyed her company.

We were planning a visit to Taliesin East in Spring Green and I searched the web for a B&B close by ( unsure if I did it through Trip Advisor). We chose Hill Street B&B because its website looks great and there is no minimum stay. The proprietors are Kelly and Jay Phleps. They are great hosts and are extremely...

We only had time to stay the one night at Hill Street B & B and the house is lovely- very clean and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and our room was delightfully decorated. The breakfast was lovely, especially the almond pastries! The location is ideal if you want to visit the House on...

“Some rooms on the second floor share a bathroom. The Wright Room is a great 3-person family room, and the most interesting with its dormers.”

“Some of the rooms have a shared bath so be sure to clarify if you want a private bathroom. There are two rooms in the lower level with a nice private family room if you are there with another couple or a family.”

“Upstairs rooms are more spacious and Victorian, but all are clean and comfortable and delightfully decorated. This is a quiet neighborhood, so noise is not a problem.”
