When arrived at Tanja Camp, and found everything signposted and ready for our arrival. The tent site was immaculate, and opened to a pleasant filtered sun afternoon. We found the amenities provided with the kitchen and bathroom perfect for our needs. The outdoor fire was a treat to sit around before dark, and the interior fireplace was a great addition as the nights and mornings were a bit brisk. We took the time to canoe across the lagoon, and walk and explore Middle beach. The beach is a short 5 minute drive away as well. Wildlife was abundant. We were blessed with the weather; but you would still be comfortable if it was cold and wet. We only met the owners as we were packing up to leave, as their services were not required at all. It just felt like camping with a bit of glam on top!!…
We stayed 2 nights for my 50th birthday. We have been rough camping for years but thought we would do something a little nicer for my birthday and TLC did not disappoint. The bed and bathroom were as good as any 5 star hotel and everything was immaculate. It was great to have an actual kitchen and the complimentary breakfast goods were delicious. We didn’t hear or see any other guests even though others were staying on either side of us. We took the beautiful scenic walk to the beach, where we were the only ones. We tried to think what could be done to improve this weekend away and couldn’t think of anything. Definitely recommend.
Glamping is a camping hack! We had a great 3 nights at TLC, despite some ordinary weather including some rain. The location on the edge of the lagoon is peaceful and beautiful in all weather. Technically, its camping. Sleeping under canvas all the sights sounds and smells of nature, a campfire for entertainment (so much wood to forage!) makes you think you are camping, but then you can relax in a full hot bath and slide into your queen-size comfy bed. Best of all worlds. The tents are even better in real life than the photos. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished with local timber hand-made furniture. Lots to do within walking distance. A great headland walk along the coast to the north, and enjoyed taking a kayak out to explore the lagoon. Highly recommended.
We staying in the Buru tent over a weekend. We had originally booked in August but had to cancel due to Covid lockdowns. Very grateful that we could use our credit for another weekend instead. The Buru tent is beautiful, right next to the lagoon. When we arrived the kitchen was stocked with bread, museli, eggs, milk, honey and butter which lasted our weekend stay. This area of the South Coast is absolutely stunning and a real highlight was going kayaking on the lagoon. Our entire stay was so peaceful and relaxing. It was almost like we had the entire site to ourselves, even though I knew the other tents were fully booked. We loved having a fire in the fire pit and walking around the area. Couldn't recommend enough and looking forward to coming back!
We had 3 nights in one of the safari tents and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tent was very comfortable, and very snug & cosy at night with the heater going. The bed was super comfortable and we relished the beautiful dawn chorus of birds and loved watching the kangaroo mob, some of them visited us and seemed happy to let their very small joeys run around our tent. The area is beautiful with wonderful beaches to walk on, and many established bush walks both on the property and in the local area. Bermagui & Tathra are both foodie towns and we bought great fresh fish to cook on our barbecue and also had a very nice dinner at the Tathra Hotel. Also great coffee available in Tathra. Highly recommend this property if you like peace and quiet and being close to nature. Los was very friendly and helpful.…
