Planned a trip to the north woods but couldn't find a place to stay so . . . here we were. I would describe it as a "guy" kind of place. Ya know . . . where the guys come to fish, atv, or snowmobile and not concerned about luxury. The lights were very dim. The shower was so dark...

Probably a motel reminding you of 20 years ago. Has two beds in most rooms. About a 12 room motel. Has refrigerator, stove, shower, tub, coffee pot. Good location for fishers, snow mobilers, families and very inexpensive. Around $69 a night. Location spectacular. Friendly owners.

This place was a great find. It's built into a hillside overlooking North Twin Lake. Other people staying there told us the fishing was good but we were more excited about seeing so many stars at night, seeing bald eagles circling the water, and hearing loons - all from the doorway of our room! Very clean, quiet, well kept, comfortable...

We were in the area for a 5 day family reunion & all the other traditional hotels in the area were around $200 per night so at $57 per night, this facility was a huge bargain. There was a sign in our room, "You're in Phelps, Wisconsin. Set your watches back 40 years!" and that pretty much said it all...

I am going to totally agree with "beercan67" review. We were on a motorcycle trip and decided our stop would be in Phelps. What a great decision! The view from this hotel is breathtaking! No, it is not a Holiday Inn Express, but it has a bed and a shower with awesome water pressure, although the height of the showerhead...

Stayed here over this last October weekend and the crisp cool Fall air was there too. The sunset was amazing and just as good or better in my opinion then some other International resorts. Prices are very reasonable compared to Eagle River and you don't have that touristy feel, as you do in some towns. Bedding was excellent, with down...

This place is a great alternative to dropping big bucks in Eagle River. It's in Phelps, and Phelps is laid back and quaint to say the least. The owner Rex starts off by giving you the shirt off his back. What a quality host! The Motel is on a hill with an unbelievably relaxing location. It's right there by mighty...

I stayed here for the first time over Memorial Day weekend and was really happy. The rooms are clean and come with a kitchenette plus there are a bunch of Weber grills outside. We went up there for a quick fishing trip and it was really all we could ask for. The owners seem very nice and they’ve taken good...
