I organised a company meal and the staff there were fantastic. Even before getting to the restaurant . We didn't have to pay a deposit. I had to change the number of guests and orders a few times put it all went very well. Brilliant service, the food was really good and the bill was very reasonable. Greatly recommended.

We had the fish and it was lovely. Warm bread on arrival and great staff. Would recommend for a pleasant treat. We went in the winter but I imagine it's even better in the summer as it's such a pretty village.

quiet Tuesday night dinner with a friend. Menu was varied with a gluten free menu, a fish menu and then a regular al a carte so the choice was extensive. The raw steaks were brought out on a wooden tray and each cut was pointed out but I opted for the duck parcel and sea bass and spinach risotto with...

The food was good but would have preferred a little more choice on the menu, I just didn't find the food lived up to the price, and the chairs are uncomfortable for sitting on for any length of time - I think it's part of a great group and would recommend but given it's next to the Plough and Fleece...

We dined here in late October and had a very enjoyable evening. The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening as was the bar area. Menu choice was extensive with both the usual menu and an alternative mid-week option available. We mixed up options from both. Wine list was extensive. The staff were attentive despite the place being busy...

Popped in here with wife and 2 year old child. Simply put, it was the best Sunday roast I have had for years. Quality of food is outstanding - the beef was melt in the mouth perfect. Service excellent, atmosphere lovely with a table by the log burner. Anyone in the area should absolutely give it a try.

Lunch on a Friday, tried this place for the first time and impressed. Relatively recently extended by new owners, same small local group as several other local eateries, all of which are good. Excellent parking, too. Good attentive service and really well-thought-out menu, mainly trad English but with Continental flavours and additions. Loved it.

Stayed New Years Eve as attending a party in the village. Loved the style of the room although do watch out as there are cream carpets everywhere so make sure to wipe your feet or remove your shoes at the door if muddy ;-) Interesting 'key' system in that you have to choose a four digit pin code for access....

Went there for dinner, what a treat! A lovely cosy little country put, great atmosphere with a fireplace and low beamed ceilings. The menu was good, the food delicious and the service was outstanding. From a warm welcome the team there looked after us throughout the evening and really made sure we were having a good evening. Haven't seen the...
