Stayed in the Stillwater room this last Friday of Memorial Day weekend. The room was awesome and had a nice balcony with a beautiful view of the river. They brought us coffee and breakfast in the morning and we got to eat outside on the...More
My wife and I stayed Saturday night of Memorial weekend. We scheduled our stay late, a few days prior, which might explain why we ended up with an undesirable room. It might be one of those upstairs/downstairs things. We were downstairs.

Really enjoyed our stay at the St. Croix River Inn. They were very accomodating. The room was very nice, bed was comfortable. Our room faced the river and we had a fantastic sunset. Food was great as well. Would highly recommend.
We had an awesome time. Amazing breakfast and very nice innkeeper.
The breakfast was exceptional and the room was a lot of fun. Very nice view of the river as well! We will be back for sure. Perfect for a weekend away from the Twin...More
Short walk to Cascade falls. Was very quiet during our stay. We would have liked a room with a gas fireplace better since the electric one in our room was very noisy and constantly stopped and started back up and took a long time to...More
Looking at the room descriptions (in this case Osceola room vs. Cascade room), I'm trying to suss out the following:
- The Osceola room lists the hydrotherapy tub as "two-person," but the Cascade room just lists it as a corner hydrotherapy tub -- can I still assume the Cascade room's tub can be big enough for two?
- The Osceola room's fireplace is listed as a "gas fireplace," but the Cascade room's description just says "fireplace" -- I've been at B&Bs before that have the "mock" electrical fireplace that doesn't actually have any fire in it, so I'm curious whether the Cascade room's fireplace is also gas.
It's the little things! :) Thanks for any help.

We stayed in the Hudson Room which had a small, electric mock wood stove. It kept the room warm and there was a nice glow about it. We did look at a few of the other rooms, but the ones you are asking about were occupied so we didn't see them. I believe all the tubs will accommodate 2 people. The fireplaces in the rooms you asked about are most likely gas fireplaces. At any rate, we really enjoyed this B&B and are planning on staying there again in the near future.
